The firm of eric hedlund design is based on authentic and innovative designs from Western Rustic, Tuscan to Contemporary. Since its inception in 2000 the firm has pursued a rigorous logic in its design approach in the belief that architectural programs are best solved directly and efficiently with a team of professionals. The firms design philosophy centers around two essential architectural ideas. One is to use a building's structure to create a significant place within a site, and the other is to be sensitive to the client?s needs and expectations. These ideas evolve from an appreciation of the extraordinary beauty of the natural environment that we have work in throughout the west. Founding partners Eric Hedlund and Robert Schmidt, both graduates of the University of Idaho with Bachelors of Architecture, have explored several sides of the development world. Their attitude toward building the structure within their drawings is essential to the final set of documents and the ability for the general contractor to fabricate their vision. Their work ranges from simple residential, custom estates, interior design, commercial, restaurant design and construction management.
