Erica designed a full home renovation with some very creative additional floor space for us. We appreciated that she supported us fully throughout the entire renovation process: including building design, construction drawings, permit applications, interior design, lighting design, landscape design and construction to completion. We hired EW for a complete interior and exterior remodel of our split level home. We were first-timers to home remodelling, and from beginning to end we counted on Erica's guidance (and patience, and counselling) as we faced the thousands of decisions that go into a renovation. Erica took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and to apply that understanding to the design of a new house with open floor plan, higher ceilings, wood beams, and walls of glass in exactly the right places to capture the Vancouver light. The result is a house that feels like a perfect fit for our family, matching our tastes, our idiosyncratic likes and dislikes, in every way. Starting from the very beginning, Erica guided us skillfully through a variance process with the district that was necessary to achieve her architectural vision within the constraints of our pre-existing structure, then she made the permitting process as easy and painless as possible. Throughout construction, Erica was accessible and helpful. She answered our questions and addressed our concerns in a timely way, often within just an hour or two of asking, and proactively brought up points for us to consider and prepare for. It was a pleasure working with Erica, and there is no doubt that she was the driving force in the success of our renovation. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Erica and EW-Architecture. We have recently completed a large full home renovation with EW, and are currently working on 2 more full home renovations. On all 3 projects the drawings set, communication, and architectural expertise has been phenomenal. On any large renovation project, having a robust, detailed and well designed drawing set can make everything run so much smoother. When I was planning an outdoor project, I went to the library to get books on design ideas. The librarian said that in the South Surrey/ White Rock area, with so many seniors, outdoor living space was the most value added aspect of any home, My biggest concern was design, but also the number of people I could accomodate on a deck. For this reason, I decided to hire the services of an architect who would know the building codes and had the training and skills to produce a design for my particular needs. Thanks to my architect, my outdoor living space is perfect for my needs and I have accommodated small and large groups up to 30 people for a sit down dinner.

Erica was a great architect to have on our team. She always did extensive research, offering us plenty of choices to make informed decisions. She was also a great ally when conflicts or misunderstandings arose between us and the contractor.

We are so happy with Erica's work in our total 2500 sq ft down to stud house renovation.
