G Design

We hired Giovanni for architectural work on or about October 2022. Everything was going well until he stopped communicating. He stopped communicating with me July 2023. We have called him regularly and no response. Very unprofessional and now he has left my project unfinished.

I highly recommend Gio as a professional in the industry . My project was an addition of an ADU (garage conversion). The scope of work converted the existing garage to an Additional Dwelling Unit. Gio was quite efficient and professional. His architect services were timely, at which Day 1 of construction took no longer than two weeks after signing a contract with G Design for architectural services. Plans were submitted to the City of Los Angeles and plan review was approved and completed, no later than two weeks after. Gio is well versed in the requirements of several City Planning Department jurisdictions and is hands-on during the entire process. He is readily available to answer any questions and/or concerns. I highly recommend G Design.

We highly recommend architect Giovanni Quintero, owner of GxG CoOp Designs. We bought a small fixer upper built in 1955 with 2 bedrooms, 1bath, an office, an unpermited family room and an outdated kitchen. The space was only 1106sq ft on a 5197 sq ft lot. At that time we were expecting our 2nd baby and wanted to remodel the place to have 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and an open floor plan including an indoor-outdoor living area with enough space for the kids to run around and for entertaining. We had a $250,000 vision, but only ½ the budget. To save money and ensure that things were done the way we wanted it, my husband, who’s a financial advisor by trade, acted as the contractor with Giovanni helping him oversee the project. Given Giovanni’s experience with all aspects of home remodeling and the extensive network of specialists/subcontractors that he had, we were able to make our dream home a reality very close to budget and on time. We really enjoyed working with Giovanni. What we like about him is that he is personable, always available, very easy to work with and very hands on. He listened to our needs. He has great ideas on how to maximize space and functionality but doesn’t impose his ideas on us. He worked with us to create the space that we wanted in the style that we wanted. Given our small space we never thought we could fit in a master suite, but Giovanni designed the space so that we’d get a master suite with a walk in closet and a full bath. His meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that every inch of the house was usable space. After the remodel the square footage increased to 1380sq feet but feels so much bigger because of the open floor plan and vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams. many of our friends have commented that the house feels twice as big as the old house. We have a great room that includes a new walk in pantry, laundry space, dining area, living area, and an open kitchen with white granite counter tops. The great room has an 16 feet Nana Glass wall that opens up completely to get direct access to the backyard and create the indoor-outdoor living space we wanted. Everything we asked for, we got! We are totally enjoying our newly renovated home, thanks to Giovanni!

Hired (Architect) Giovanni to help us with the challenge of modernizing a dated, dark, very small kitchen. He was very easy to work with, listened to our ideas and contributed his creativity and expertise. The biggest problem was a large closet that prevented the kitchen from opening up to the rest of the living area. We are in the downstairs apartment with one directly above and there were multiple support beams in the closet that prevented us from removing it. Giovanni came up with great options to open up the space while still keeping the support structure.

Skilled, pleasant, punctual, and competent. Excellent at communication and follow up. Very sincere and aware of the process of design, building and related details. We would use Giovanni for residential or commercial projects in the future.

GXG Co Op Design did an excellent job designing my new bathroom. I appreciated the time that was taken to be sure it was the design I wanted. I plan to use GXG for my kitchen remodel as well.

I hired Giovanni to design the remodel of our single story 2000 square foot house. We knew we wanted to add a second story and rearrange some of the internal walls. Gio came to our first meeting with that plan but also with a second option. It was visionary; calling for moving the kitchen across the house, changing the placement of just about every room and adding amazing details like exposed beams, art niches and bullnose corners. Needless to say, we went with his second option and I am so thankful that we did. Our house is unique, spacious and fits our personalities like it was plucked out of our brains. There is no way for me to praise Gio and GxG highly enough. If you need an architect, he will fulfill your vision and make your dream house a reality.

I am incredibly happy with all this passion, effort, and I do not think that I could have found anyone better for this project

Gio's work is first rate. From the initial design work to the final inspection, he was there every step of the way. Not only did we get an extremely creative architect, but a fantastic resource who helped us find craftsmen and artists to make the plans a reality. You couldn't ask for more!

gxg has always been prompt,curteous and is a complete professional on the last two jobs that i have worked on with them. i would refer them to any of my clients.
