I have worked on several projects with Leona over the past five years. Most recently she helped me with a major renovation including my kitchen, two full bathrooms, and a powder room. Leona is dependable, accessible, careful and thoughtful. She worked tirelessly to help me realize my vision and I am thrilled with the result. Leona is practical and will often point out to me that a design idea I have might not work in the real world. She is always open to my ideas but also presents lots of her own. She always sticks to my budget and doesn't push me to buy things that are too expensive or not my style. I love working with Leona and I hope to do so for many years to come!

Leona has been our decorator for over 15 years. She did our main home (a large Tudor house), our beach house on Cape Cod, and our New York apartment. I can't praise Leona highly enough. She is creative, has a fantastic sense of style and color, and is absolutely lovely to work with. She has huge knowledge of furniture, fabrics, rugs, wall coverings, window treatments, and even house construction, so she can offer a tremendous range of options to her clients. Each of the 3 properties she did for us had its own style and feel - traditional for the home, cottage cool for the Cape Cod house, and contemporary sleek for the city apartment. She worked carefully with our tastes and preferences to make sure we were happy, while bringing her expertise to bear when needed. She never tries to take over but works collaboratively with her clients. She listens carefully, she thinks projects through, and she ensures that all the details are correct and are finished. Leona is fun and energetic, so it is a great pleasure to work with her.

I have worked with Leona Gaita for years. Initially as a client and now as her photographer. Leona is just about the loveliest person I have ever worked with. She is so knowledgeable, inventive and in tune. Her design expertise is wide-ranging and includes not just the aesthetic, but also history, context and practicality. Leona's designs exude imagination and great care for and commitment to her clients. And a good dose of fun! I have watched her work with all types of clients and styles. She has terrific energy, is a great collaborator and, from my visual perspective, her work is always wonderful to photograph!
