Jonathan was terrific to work with from start to finish with my home improvement job. He was very responsive from our initial visit to the conclusion of our project. He was extremely thorough with our plans and followed through with all aspects of our home improvement job. I can’t say enough great things about Jonathan and his entire team! I purchased a home back in November of 2023. The previous owner had given us the original plans for their renovation/addition that they did 20 years ago with Jonathan. When looking into possible renovations I reached out to Jonathan to see if he would be able to assist me in determining if certain walls were load bearing or not. He came to the house, took his time looking at the current structure as well as the drawings from the addition 20 years ago. He assisted in determining what walls could and couldn't be removed. At the end of hour+ visit I asked him what he wanted for his time and he said "nothing, if we needed anything in the future to just call." I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would certainly recommend his services to all in need. Thank you again!

Jonathon and his team helped me prep my home for sale. It was in an estate trust and several things needed to be brought up to date to meet the town requirements and codes. I was overwhelmed when I made my first call to them, but as the weeks ticked by, I could see they had things under control and were helping me manage the whole process. They were fast, efficient and reassuring! Special thanks to Audrey for her unwavering patience with my many questions. The George Hodosh Associates Architetcs P C team rescued me at a tme of deep emotional stress( resulting from my sister's death) to professionally and successfully guide and manage , what seemed to me , a labyrinthian set of requirements of my town to the successful legalization and certification of a three season room, deck etc. Calmly led by Jonathan and his very able and responsive team mates ,Audrey and Shanice, they all were highly professional , timely, available , hands on , patient , and appropriately communicative in guiding me through a- longer- than- expected process. My wife and I hired Jonathan to draw up architectural plans for our full home renovation. We wanted a more open floor plan and a change in the kitchen layout. Within a week we had our final set of drawings ready to submit for permits. My contractor said they were by far the easiest plans to interpret and build off of. We now have a beautiful updated home thanks to Jonathan's great ideas and fast execution. Thank you Hodosh associates!

I met J. Hodosh at the RCC Home Show in Feb 2002. I was amazed by his before/after pix and hired him to design a major home renovation. My project timing was complicated by having my mom living with me who ended up hiring him as well to do her home first so she could move out and enable me to do my home. 2002 was a crazy year for construction and there were some delays but even with delays Jonathan did call back and follow through which is much more than I can say for dozens of contractors I dealt at that time. The results were stellar for both me and my mom and I am constantly complimented."

I hired Jonathan to create plans for a kitchen/house renovation. He had some good ideas but they were over shadowed by the endless excuses that delayed his deliverable. From blaming it in on sick employees, to sickness, to just about everything under the sun. We modified the design maybe three times in total and always got back to him within a couple of days. He asked for money upfront because of his financial constraints... a mistake I made unfortunately. Needless to say 6 months later and I still have no plans I can submit to the town, no estimate for the project and incomplete design (no HVAC, incomplete electrical, no detail supplies). All I have is some preliminary designs. Honestly, I think because he has financial problems, he spreads his time very thin across his projects. Buyer beware.

What this client fails to note is that her budget and her expectations were far apart. We continually told her that she was over-designing and we were concerned about the cost. We signed a contract with her on September 10, 2015. She was furnished with complete construction plans suitable for obtaining a building permit on January 26, 2016. That is just over 4 months for a custom design (with multiple modifications by the client) and full construction documents. It is my recollection that she did receive bids and that they were much higher than she wanted - but that she did not want to make any cuts to the project. This left us all in a holding pattern.
Additionally, asking for prompt payment does not indicate “financial problems”. We, like most professionals, ask for an “up front” retainer as a guarantee that we will get paid for our work.
