Chip helped us with a major renovation, turning a 1930's ranch into a 2-story Tudor -style home. He has an amazing aesthetic and great knowledge of period architecture and his level of talent is really hard to find. He's great to work with and we feel so lucky to have found him!

We were particularly concerned about matching the house so that it did not look like an addition, but like it was part of the original house. We are very pleased with the outcome. Chip and his team were wonderful. We had an old house with great bones but a challenging layout. We needed more family space and an updated interior, and Hackley helped us achieve that without sacrificing the character of the original house. Chip understood our vision of an English Country Home with views leading you from one room to the next, and ultimately to the yard and gardens outside. We are so happy with the finished product!

Chip has an incredible eye and he's a great problem solver. We completely renovated a 1948 ranch and turned it into an authentic Cape Cod style home, complete with a wrap around porch, cupolas and cedar siding. In addition to having a wonderful design sense, he relishes the details...moldings, finishes, etc. We characterize our relationship as a great partnership. Chip Hackley and his people were a real pleasure to work with on our extensive remodel. The home we purchased had "great bones" according to Chip, but when we were done it was great across the board. They transformed an interior that was somewhat contemporary (when we purchased our home) into a more traditional feeling home. Their ideas were perfect. We love living in our home everyday. And we actually discuss how much we love it often. Without Hackley & Associates' creativity and professionalism, our home would not be what it is today. They are pros. The quality of the work is terrific. And we're not the only ones who notice the amazing work they did. We regularly receive glowing comments from people who see our home for the first time.

Chip Hackley and his team are first class. Incredibly easy to work with, responsive and very conscious of their client's needs. Their work is among the finest you will find in the country - beautiful designs, tastefully executed, combining the best of traditional architectural principles with the requirements of modern families. We added a complete 2nd floor to a single story ranch house in Evanston IL, a town known for historic homes. The transformation was stunning and the house now fits perfectly in its surroundings. You cannot tell that the house wasn't original - the addition is seamless. Chip worked with me on the level of detail required in the drawings - being very sensitive to my budget. I would not work with anyone else. I highly recommend Hackley & Associates.

We bought a David Adler house in need of a thoughtful historic renovation. Working with Chip Hackley and Tedd Dunn was the easy part of the project. They offered great service and accessibility, and kept the historic nature of the house in mind through the entire process while providing practical changes to meet the needs of a family today. They have great resources for odd ball necessities in such a project and continually keep it moving forward. In the end, the house is exceptional and I owe most of the credit to Hackley & Associates.
