Great architecture begins with creative talent, great relationships, and a clear focus. After searching for 3 years for an architectural firm that balanced strong aesthetics, good operational processes, & a hip/upbeat atmosphere, we were fortunate to find HMH and Harvey. Our very first custom home was worked on at a distance. Harvey was always available thru emails, phone calls, site visits, and the HOUZZ app. He kept us on track with our artistic vision, value engineering, and practical solutions. His delightful sense of humor made the learning curve painless. We only wish there were more houses to build, they would certainly be with HMH and Harvey!

HMH Architecture is one of those companies that I am so happy I found. Every time I walk one of their properties with a client, they fall in love. There is something so incredible about what the whole team creates. I'm lacking in words and its something like, thoughtful, high-style with a pulled back discipline (no whimsy; which, I so appreciate) with a strong commitment to their mission. I see 'true modern' when I walk through HMH's creations and a true appreciation for era and innovation. Space and Light are HMH's forte, as well. I always notice details like window placement, lighting, baseboards (of all things). I am so confident that every time I send a client their way, they're in the best hands for modern.

We love our new home! We had a great experience working with Harvey Hine & Cherie Goff at the team at HMH designing and building our new home in Boulder. We had a vision of our dream house for over a decade and they helped us realize that dream. The house integrates the indoor space with the outdoor space so that it feels spacious and a part of nature. The house has views that are incredible and well considered. There's so much to say about working with HMH that I am not doing it justice here. Overall, we really enjoyed the whole process from start to finish and HMH was an integral part of this.

Harvey Hine designed a whole-house renovation of our 100-year old Victorian home in Boulder. His design was a brilliant combination of modern design principles with traditional design style. He opened up the house so that it is spacious, comfortable and light-filled, and provided us with living areas that we use every day. He combined the living room and dining room into a single useful space, opening through large windows to a Japanese garden. The design of the kitchen and the bathrooms are the best possible combination of tremendous beauty and perfect practicality. The new master bedroom suite has a balcony with fabulous mountain views. Harvey is a great listener. We recommend him in the highest possible terms to anyone who wants creative solutions to updating a historic home.

Harvey and the team designed the remodel of my wonderland hill home in north Boulder. We touched every surface of the house so all that was original really was the drywall and studs. It was a fantastic experience all around! They made it very easy for me to take on this project even though I am already a very busy working, single Mom. They stuck to my budget and my style, and actually reminded me of my budget at times. Harvey worked really well with my contractor so I felt like I had a really cohesive team on the project. The process was smooth, the outcome is gorgeous and it was fun at the same time. I really can't say enough good things about them.

I highly recommend Harvey and everyone at HMH. I am a local contractor who has built a few projects that HMH designed. The spaces looked incredible, the clients were really happy, and I had a great time working with Harvey and his team. Not only is he a talented designer, but he is also very knowledgable of the building process and has a really good sense of costs and how it relates to scope. Building a new home or renovating can be a stressful and personal experience but Harvey really helps his clients navigate through the process and makes it enjoyable! I think it's no mystery why they continue to create award winning spaces resulting in happy clients.

We have worked with Harvey Hine Architects on several projects, including remodeling an existing 20 year old house and a complete design and build of a new home. I find working with them to be delightful! Everyone told us that building a home had the potential to wreck marriages, but with Harvey and Cherie it was never even hard! Design was the most fun part- taking all our ideas and how we live into account, and then planning our space to the land we had chosen. For 6 months we met every other week moving through the design until we had the whole house planned down to the door knobs. We both had full time jobs, so Cherie and the team came to every meeting fully prepared to share what they had accomplished in the 2 weeks between, and presented ideas quickly and clearly. I would chose them and recommend the team again whole heartedly!

Commented: which paint brand & colors did you use?I am sorry but we designed this house many years ago and have no record of the paint. We like Benjamin Moore colors and Sherwin Williams paint. SW can match any paint color.
