My husband and I met Jennifer ("Jenni") at the home show in Hartford this past winter and we immediately hit it off. Jenni welcomed us into her booth space and we quickly ascertained that she is a very organized and well-prepared professional. We explained to Jenni that we are looking to build a new home, that we had scoured the internet for a base plan and that we found one that we were generally interested in, but that it needed to be modified. Jenni took the time to explain her process to us (and had a great take-home sheet which reiterated the key points) and discuss the specifics of modifying an existing plan. We contacted Jenni following the home show and within a few days, we had a consultation meeting and she provided us with a cost estimate to perform the services in which we were interested. We engaged her at the consultation, as we were very comfortable that we were dealing with a true professional in the architectural field who not only exhibited to us that she knows her craft, but also that she listens, thinks about things in a very practical way, works with an eye toward overall project budget and is up front about expressing her concerns or opinions if she thinks a client is straying down the impractical pathway. Jenni is a pleasure to work with and made us feel very comfortable throughout the process. There were a couple of instances in which plans were turned around a couple of days later than expected, however, Jenni was good about communicating when this was the case. From a financial perspective, one of the things that we liked about working with Jenni is that she charges on a per hour basis for her services (and provides estimates of hours to complete a task) instead of working on a fixed fee basis. Our overall experience with Jenni was very positive; we have a great house plan and she came in under the original cost estimate! We would not hesitate to recommend Jenni.

Brought Jennifer our ideas for a major living room, kitchen and dining room remodel and she quickly turned them into professional drawings we could give a GC. She also recommended a GC which worked out great for us. We would certainly use her services again.

When we planned to build our dream home in a retirement community, we had chosen three floor plans...one had the "almost perfect" great room with a wall of windows; another with the perfect kitchen with island, laundry, wet bar, pantry and powder room, as well as a stairway to the basement; and yet another with a master suite and guest wing we loved, but it required several changes in dimensions. We also had no idea of what type of elevation would work with the look we wanted to achieve. We had researched Architects, and were very impressed with Jennifer Morgenthau's work and experience. Not only was she able to "work her magic" as we call it...to combine the three floor plans into the perfect plan for us...but she also designed a front elevation that took our breath away!
