Since Jim had been a house framer himself before he became an architect, he is also great at orchestrating the process of interviewing and vetting of the homebuilders to use on your project. I found everyone on Jim's team to be well-educated and practiced in the art of building and the business of construction management. So looking back it was no surprise that Jim's firm managed the builder's work very well - in a way we could not do ourselves. Jim is easy to work with, honest, timely and creative. His ideas are original and beautiful. The plans for our home additions - and one new home - worked seamlessly. Every aspect of the interior and exterior designs were well-detailed and specified. Jim's firm is always available during construction. They professionally review the work in place, the invoices, and review, revise and approve the contractor's payment requisitions. Therefore we felt very comfortable funding our projects as the construction work was professionally vetted before the approved requisitions came to us in an orderly fashion for payment. We love the end results. We're so happy with our homes. And we can certainly highly recommend Jim O'Brien Architecture & Interiors for your next project.
