My husband and I would heartily recommend the skills of Joseph Marchese, Architect to anyone. We moved into our 1960s three-bedroom, one-bath New Jersey raised ranch several years ago with plans to remodel. My husband has worked with Joe professionally for many years and has been consistently impressed with his vision and thoughtful attention to detail. When it was finally time to kick off the dream project of our kitchen renovation, there was no question regarding who to consult for the design work. He offered a plan to transform our tiny, dark L-shaped kitchen into a brilliant, light-filled and functional space that is a joy to behold as well as to work in. By removing the ugly wall separating the kitchen from the dining area the space has become bright and airy, with room to move and accommodate my husband’s inspired cooking endeavors. By relocating the refrigerator, we achieved an increase in counter-space, while the addition of an island has given us a new focal point and a place to gather with friends. We are overjoyed with the results and can’t stop sharing our excitement with friends, neighbors and anyone else who will listen. I might add that his design was thoughtfully conceived to work within our budget, and there were no unforeseen surprises either with implementation of the plans or the construction. It was a pleasure working with Joseph Marchese on this project. He finished the plan on time incorporating all the ideas and details we wanted. He also worked with our budget and gave us advice as to where to cut costs whenever it was possible without compromising the quality of the work done.
