Before we had our basement remodeled, Andy came by to reimagine the space. The basement was a mess. He was able to come in and reimagined the space. He took his time in measuring what seems like every angle of the basement. This was crucial as every inch had to be accurate in order to make sure that distances were correct. I am also grateful for what he came up with for the bathroom. I couldn't imagine how we could have the bathroom without it being part of the bedroom. Andy was able to draw up a 3D rendering separating the bathroom from the bedroom so that guests wouldn't have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. This is why it's so important to have someone like Andy come by before the start of any renovation. We also worked with Emily, the interior designer, during the renovation. She kept us on schedule and made appointments with different places so that we were on schedule to pick out our materials. She came out to look at the space prior to renovation as well as met us at each material place. They were both friendly, professional, and know what they're doing. I highly recommend that you get in touch with a design place before starting any renovation. It's something that might not come in mind, but you'll be glad you did. We were thrilled with Andy and Emily and I can't recommend them enough. I still look back and think about what if they didn't come by. I would have had the bathroom in the bedroom. Thank goodness for them and their outside of the box mentality!

Andy and his team did a great job on our lake house remodel. They came up with some great ideas we had never thought of. We can’t wait to see it finished.

We hired K Architectural Design to plan out a major renovation on our first floor (kitchen and living room). Andy was excellent to work with through the entire process. He was very good at incorporating our ideas, but providing practical advice on the functionality of our choices. He was also knowledgable about the structural integrity of our choices, as our remodel required the removal of load-bearing wall and a bump out into the garage. We appreciated his cost/benefit analysis of those changes. Our general contractor also appreciated the detailed drawings that helped the project get permitted and started on time. Fortunately, Andy is extremely patient as my wife and I take a long time to make decisions and required many revisions. We would definitely use Andy again for future projects.

Designing our home was an excellent experience with K Architectural Design. He is a talented designer who guided us toward great decisions. He was fast, responsive, kind and made the whole process fun and easy. We LOVE our new home (it's being built now). We even sent over our own sketches and they were only improved upon. This is the way to go!

Andy was an absolute pleasure to work with; a consummate professional that was generous with his time, courteous, and always delivered what was promised. At the end of the day, he successfully translated our ideas into a plan we are proud to call our home.

Andy helped turn what could very well be an overwhelming project, into a fun and fulfilling process for our family. After sharing our list of needs, wants and desires, along with snapshots of styles we like, he went right to work and proceeded to knock it out of the park. Based on the early drawings, it was easy to see Andy took the information we gave him and thoroughly considered every aspect. He generated a floor plan and exterior elevations that absolutely checked all the boxes, and did it with style. It fit our family's lifestyle and taste. Throughout the process, Andy gave us sound advice on aspects we should consider, others we should avoid, and/or expand on it. It was invaluable information. Between Andy's design vision and the impeccable building process with Highland Builders, we couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

I gave my original plans to Andy which started out as a rectangular barndominium style home. He transformed those plans into a still wide open floor plan, but with the appearance of a real home. Absolutely love the new updated plan.

Andy was knowledgeable and creative. He worked with our many ideas we've gathered over time, and put them all together with options that fit our budget. All along the way Andy explained why he was suggesting things based on his experiences as well as how he thought they would effect our day to day. Great experience. Thank you Andy!

Andy and his team did a tremendous job taking our ideas for our forever home and turning them into professionally prepared blueprints. Along the way we changed our minds on many details and Andy was always there to provide insights and ideas on how to work them into the plan while maintaining code compliance and aesthetic integrity. Working with Andy was the best experience I have ever had with an architect! He really took the time to understand what I wanted to create and heard every request I had. Andy and his team at KAD were exceptional to work with. We purchased a property that suited our needs, then designed a home to fit into the property. We came to Andy with a very basic floor plan idea and a bunch of pictures from Houzz and Pinterest. He took those ideas and transformed them into a home design that was above and beyond what we had imagined. He was patient and thoughtful with our conversations throughout the design phase. He did a great job of balancing our needs vs our wants while keeping within our expected budget. We challenged him with a tight budget and an unusual style which he had no issue with. The cost of his work was very reasonable and worth every penny. Our experience with Andy was extraordinary. I cannot recommend his and his team enough. They made our house design experience all the more enjoyable.

Andy from K Architectural Design is very professional and also a great guy to work with. He does a fantastic job at getting the ideas out of my head and onto paper to make a buildable plan. When we came to K Architectural Design to build our home, we really didn't have anything down on paper. We told Andy exactly our style and our wish list. When we sat down with Andy again, he had everything we ever wanted and more in our plans, with a few minor changes. We went through different materials and he was able to provide real world feedback to allow us to make an informed design. My favorite part was when he put our plans in a 3D walk through. Andy has completed three design projects for us over the past few years. ALL have exceeded our expectations! The first project was the design for new construction of our home. We wanted the integrity and energy efficiencies new construction brings, but a house with loads of old world charm and character. Andy brought it! There isn't a single inch of wasted space. "Old world" architectural charm and detail abounds. Everyone that visits tells us they feel so comfortable here and LOVE the house. When we decided to create additional living space in the lower level, we asked Andy to duplicate the charm of the main living space, but with a touch of fun. Once again, Andy delivered. Andy recently drew up plans for an outbuilding for us. Although we haven't started construction yet, his plan is amazing and matches with all the details we love about our home. Thank you Andy!!

Working with K Architectural Design was probably the easiest part of our home building experience. We gave Andy all kinds of wants that we had seen from other homes, and he worked with us on our vision to create our dream home. Not only was Andy great to work with, he helped us with design tips on ways to save money. Any changes we requested were usually completed next day, and we have had "zero" issues or complaints from any of our subcontractors with the plans. Andy made this a fun and enjoyable experience, and I will definitely use him again for any future projects.

K Architectural Design assisted us with the design for our basement renovation. Andy was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to meet all of our requests. He came to our home numerous times and made several updates to truly capture our dream living space. He helped us see what our finished product would look like with 3d computer images, as well as 3D glasses that allowed for us to look around the room and feel as though we were in the actual space. By having these additional images, we were able to ensure that Andy's design supported our vision. In addition to Andy's professionalism and excellent work product, Andy was friendly and easy to work with. He made a process that could often be stressful, fun and exciting! We heard about Andrew from a friend of ours. We've had an amazing experience so far. Our initial visit with him was to get to know us and our lifestyle so he could start with a design that fit our needs (and wants).
