Kevin Dakan Architect is a New York based design office providing comprehensive residential architectural and interior design services.
Taking a collaborative approach to design, Kevin Dakan values that his projects reflect each client’s individual character and needs. By bringing his extensive architectural experience, sensitivity to context, and design knowledge to the process, he ensures that each project has a unique appearance while maintaining a recognizable attention to quality, detail and proportions. He works comfortably with a variety of scales and budgets; from a new kitchen to a complete gut renovation or new house.
Prior to establishing his own practice, he worked with New York architects Alexander Gorlin, James Gauer, and Peter Pennoyer, and Sydney interior designer, Thomas Hamel. His design work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Vogue Living, The New York Times, and Architectural Record.
Projects include apartment interiors; beach, town, and country houses; restaurants,(including Senza Nome for James Gauer Architect, nominated for the Interior Design Magazine Outstanding Restaurant Design Award); and a custom yacht interior. This work has taken him from New York City to Long Island’s Hamptons, Connecticut, Florida and California, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and China.
Kevin received his architectural degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
He is a Licensed Architect in the State of New York.
