I hired Kim to lead the full gut renovation of my apartment in Park Slope. Here are some salient points:
No 1. She is a wonderfully creative Architect with the communication skills to explain the subtle points of the design.
No 2. Effortlessly navigated through an insane co-op board to get the project approved.
No 3. Worked very well with the contractor of my choice.
No 4. Stayed within my budget while producing an amazing end product.
No 5. Eventually hired Kim to decorate the whole apartment - I.e. furniture, lighting, accents, etc...

Kim helped me with the renovation of my NYC townhouse including architectural and interior design. I can only say positive things about the experience with her. After understanding my needs and my modern style, she developed a plan which was both incredibly beautiful, made great use of the space, and technically sound.
Kim is a great listener, very personable, and responsive. She helped me with the project from start to finish, including mobilizing the right parties, helping with decision making, and ensuring the contractor work was on track and aligned with the architectural vision.
Without a doubt, I recommend Kim as one of the top NYC architects, who is very resourceful and diligent, detailed-oriented as well as creative to address (and exceed!) client expectations.

Kim was a fantastic partner in my project combining 2 apartments in a NYC Coop building. It came with many preparations, COOP board reviews, planning with contractor etc etc and Kim always did this with utmost professionalism, and a positive can-do attitude. Her responses to questions from contractor or me were quick, complete and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kim is absolutely fantastic! She is truly expert in her field & is a lovely person as well. She has been phenomenally patient & helpful throughout the many ups & downs in my home purchase & renovation process. She is always ready with a set of solutions & optimistic attitude to put me at ease. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I literally count my lucky stars every day that I have Kim in corner, I don’t know what I would do without her!

I combined 2 CoOps in an old 1960s building that proved to be much more cumbersome than I originally thought. I had to fire 2 architects before finding Kim via a recommendation. She was able to figure it out and get everything approved quickly, and also connected me with a wonderful contractor.

With a gut renovation there are endless decisions to make; you really want someone who you can trust and who you can communicate well with. Hiring Kim was the absolute best decision I made; and it made what could be a very stressful process into an enjoyable one. She guided me through every step, from the design process, to hiring a contractor, completing the DOB paperwork, etc.. She is extremely efficient, responsive, and works well with everyone. In my experience, she goes above and beyond because she really wants you to be happy with the end product. I recommend her 100%.

While we have yet to complete the construction for a project for Kim so far, we have recommended Kim to work with one of our clients who needed architectural services (which we don't provide). Our experience with Kim, as our clients', has been positive. She is a pleasure to do business with, and creates beautiful, thoughtful spaces here in the city, where architecture and construction is always a challenge. I would continue recommending Kim to my clients, and look forward to coordinating construction phases with her in the future.

We updated our NYC apartment in 2018 - gut renovation of two bathrooms, kitchen, and floor sanding and painting. Our contractors recommended Kimberly Peck as they had worked well together on previous projects. Kimberly drew up the plans, executed all the paperwork required by the city and our co-op board, and advised us on materials, placement of fixtures and overall color scheme. She was very responsive to our initial ideas and worked within our budget. Her knowledge/experience was instrumental in helping us make great choices in tiles, countertops, lighting and plumbing fixtures. She visited our home several times as the work progressed, whenever the need arose. We are thrilled with the results. Thank you Kimberly!

We worked with Kim on a complete ‘gut’ renovation project of our 2,800sf TriBeCa loft. We found Kim through Houzz and decided to meet with her based on the photos of her projects and, even more importantly, unanimously positive reviews of her clients. From the very first meeting with Kim we had a good feeling about her and decided to work with her to redesign the raw space we purchased to meet the needs of our family of five. And she did not disappoint! Throughout the entire process of putting together a proposal, creating architectural design concepts, finalizing plans, obtaining approvals from various city agencies, selecting materials and finishes, bidding the project out to contractors, and overseeing the construction, Kim was efficient, responsive, creative, and endlessly positive! There were a few occasions when I sent Kim panicked emails about things that seem trivial now (but did not seem so at the time) and, every time, Kim patiently responded, explained, offered alternatives and, generally, talked me from the ledge. Kim was good not only with us but with our contractor as well. It was clear that the GC we hired and his team respected and listened to her. She did hesitate to point out any errors and pushed to make sure they were corrected in a timely manner and to her exacting standards.
Another element I would like to highlight is Kim’s creativity. She came up with a few, inexpensive, design elements that really pulled the entire project together!
All in all, we love our new home and loved working with Kim. We would not hesitate to work with her again, should a need ever arise. And, we recommended Kim to our close friends with whom she is working now.

I can't say enough good things about Kimberly. After meeting with other architects and contractor/architects I decided to hire Kimberly because her design style was compatible with mine - simple, clean, modern. She helped us with the gut renovation of a co-op in Yorkville and came up with a different creative options for maximizing the layout of our apartment. She has excellent attention to detail which is reflected into the plans she draws up; she presented me with options for finishes and fixtures, and worked very well with my contractor. Most importantly, she was always cognizant of the budget and timeline I had in mind. Because of her attention to detail (with fixtures and finishes) we were able to push the project to on time completion. We enjoy our apartment everyday and are thankful that we hired Kimberly to design a beautiful home for us.

Our project was a gut renovation of an Upper West Side 2-bedroom co-op. If you want an architect who is a good communicator, personable, honest, innovative, artistic, a good manager and technically proficient, Kim should be your choice. She is a great listener and doesn't let her ego interfere with her client's best interests. Unlike many architects I've encountered, she truly puts her client's wishes first, but is forthright enough to express her opinion if her vision differs. All of this, and her fees are reasonable. I do not hesitate to recommend her without reservation.

Kimberly assisted me with renovation of my upper east side apartment. I interviewed few different architects and designers before I decided to go with Kimberly. It felt like a great fit for what I was looking for and she ended up exceeding my expectations. She was prompt with all deliverables and was always available via phone or email to assist with any queries. She made multiple visits to the site to ensure work was being done per drawings.

I used Kimberly for a gut renovation of a midtown condo apartment at the recommendation of my designer. She was thorough, conscientious and always on time with submitting and creating needed paperwork and plans. Her knowledge of NYC codes and regulations was invaluable. She always replied promptly to any concerns I had and was available throughout the project if the need arose.

I don't have enough great things to say about Kimberly. Prior to us working together on my apartment I had noticed her work in a couple of location that she designed. Once I found her on Houzz.com it was a no brainer for us to hire her.
This was our first project and we literally knew nothing about the process. The whole entire time Kimberly was informative, creative, solution oriented and most of all extremely patient. We fell in love with a small space, around 500 square feet, and storage was a huge concern for us. Kimberly was really helpful and suggesting storage above the bathroom and designed an amazing closet that suited our needs.
Another great quality that I enjoyed about Kimberly is her flexibility. During our demolition we discovered this beam in the apartment that we decided to keep exposed and totally rearranged the kitchen last minute. It was a main priority for us to have full kitchen and bathroom without it overpowering the space and we feel that this was accomplished. Kimberly is an amazing resource and she loves to collaborate with her clients. We couldn't be happier with her services we received everything on our wish list and now we live in our dream apartment.
We highly recommend Kimberly and her services we have successfully achieved big living in a tiny space!

I contacted Kim regarding filing for a permit with the department of buildings. Kim was very fast with her emails: she emailed me within a few hours of my original email. She was very understanding of my needs and asked questions that I had not thought of that shed more light on my situation that I was unaware of. She was very knowledgeable about the permit process and offered different ideas to solve my problem. The only reason I did not hire Kim was due to location. This seems like a small thing but was important to me in the event that I need to visit her offices. I would highly recommend Kim as she will listen to your needs, is very professional, and she will not give you the run around.

It has been our good fortune to have had the opportunity to work with Kim Peck. She accepted the challenge of a complete renovation of our small beach bungalow. We were amazed by her creativity and thoughtfulness. She presented us with not one, but six different options-simply astounding us. She took on the challenge and far exceeded our expectations. She was always responsive to our questions and concerns in a timely and thoughtful manner. She will be our go to architect on future projects. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering a renovation.

We hired Kimberly Peck to help design and provide architectural support for our total renovation project. Our home was built in 1930 and had undergone several projects over the years. She did her initial consultation (3 total) on-site to get a proper assessment of the space and challenges. She absolutely understood all of our goals and truly understood our concerns She always worked around our schedule and was very accommodating. After this, we were able to do most of the initial work by email.
We picked the contractor and she worked with him efficiently and closely.
I recommend Kimberly Peck without any reservations!

We hired Kim to do with the remodeling of our apartment in the East Village. She came up with these amazing plans and found incredibly smart solutions for our small(ish) space while keeping its charm and character and being super budget-conscious.
Kim answered all of our questions, listened to all our thoughts, ideas or concerns. She was super patient and turned our worries into ideas or solutions. We're so glad we had access to her creative mind throughout this process. She also put us in touch with great professionals to help make the project come true.
She's just amazing!

Kim provided the architectural design and the interior design for three floors of our brownstone in Brooklyn. I can't say enough about her professionalism, accessibility and amazing architectural and interior design work. She transformed our house from a reck into a thing of beauty. Everyone who comes to visit is in awe of our place. Kim was by our side for all the difficult decisions and situations. She always came up with a solution (and kept us calm). I don't think we would have made it through the renovation without her. She was able to coach us through some serious issues with our contractor. Our place is truly beautiful and exceeded our expectations due to her.
I HIGHLY recommend Kim.

I had a pleasure working with Kim on a few different projects over years. She is a very talented and skillful architect and interior designer. Her classy taste and vision helped me renovate and redesign my apartment. I love to come home every day, dim the lights and enjoy change of wall colors with the different light intensity . Kim was able to blend my special mementos that I collected over years with new furniture and lighting.
If you are looking to completely renovate, redecorate, or rebuild your place, Kim is the person to hire. I highly recommend her.

I've had the pleasure of working with Kimberly Peck on two projects - a redesign of a one bedroom apartment in Gramercy Park and an extensive gut renovation of a 4 family house in Brooklyn. Kim's creativity and innovative, thoughtful approach to the design process makes collaborating on any of her projects incredibly fun! Most significant is her incredible eye for detail and keen ability to navigate through building codes, challenges, and unforeseen obstacles - and let's face it, every renovation has plenty of those - all with a calm, task oriented, problem solving approach.
I will be having professional photographs of the project available for posting soon.
In the meantime, I highly recommend Kimberly Peck's services and would be happy to answer any questions about my experience.

Ms. Peck was terrific to work with!
We are both artists living in an industrial space built in the late 19th century.
As a result, we wanted to retain the integrity of this loft but also bring it up to date. Kimberly pointed us in the right direction enabling us to find beautiful but appropriate fixtures, cabinetry, hardware, and appliances. For example we used industrial outdoor lighting fixtures to go with our exposed conduit. We stripped the metal entrance doors and sand blasted cast iron radiators down to the metal and they look great. In our closet and painting storage racks we used a gas pipe structure with wood shelves. In the kitchen and bathroom we installed white subway tile 5' up and above that we used a white herringbone pattern to the 11' ceiling. The kitchen cabinetry is a white washed ash using ice box polished nickel hinges. We kept all updates very basic, white paint, chrome, and black. We removed two interior walls which opened up the kitchen/living area. This allowed light to flow into this bright new open space. All floors were sanded and refinished since we have beautiful original maple flooring. The bathroom flooring consists of 18" porcelain tiles with the look and feel of poured cement. Kimberly suggested a Kohler industrial sink which works very well for our paint pots. All photos of the finished project can be seen on her website under "artist's loft".

Kimberly Peck decorated my 4,000 sq. foot Tribeca loft in 2005. She was the interior designer and helped with picking out furniture, window treatments, and implementing practical techniques to make my home feel both comforting and luxurious.
She did such exceptional work that in 2010 I hired her in renovating my medical boutique office. I wanted to create a unique space that functioned as a medical office but looked like a boudoir. Kimberly saw my vision and created exactly what I envisioned.

I am very pleased to provide Kimberly Peck my strongest recommendation. Kim basically took a cramped, poorly-designed/outfitted one-bedroom apartment and turned it into a modern, yet comfortable sanctuary, and did it in a way that felt like my own vision. From the initial consultation to the numerous visits to design centers and showrooms, Kim exhibited extraordinary enthusiasm and patience as I accessed my own aesthetic sensibility through her sure-handed guidance. Kim further expertly sheparded my project through the construction phase, with multiple contractors on site at any given time. Architects often disappear during this phase, but Kim took total ownership over the work and was my greatest ally in arriving at a construction deliverable that matched the design spec. I greatly appreciated not only Kim's superb skill at design, but also the emotional intelligence she applied in managing her client's needs throughout a challenging implementation phase, far exceeding my expectations. Kim is an A++.

Kim was perfect for our job, and a delight to work with. The project was to gut renovate 3 small bathrooms and, since we were going to have to file with the Department of Buildings, prepare technical drawings of our entire apartment so we could legalize the combinations done years ago. Kim was great on all aspects of the project, from beginning to end. She quickly understood our design aesthetic (even though it was a little different than her own), made great material choices, was always responsive and very attentive to details, and was very effective in working with our contractor.

I live in Manhattan and have a country house in the Catskills upstate. The house is a contemporary design built in the mid 1970's. The "bones" were great but the aesthetic was completely wrong. We had Kimberly redesign the interior of the entire house - from moving electrical work, plumbing, windows and walls to choosing finishes and fixtures. She is amazing and I have referred her to many friends and clients. Next.... the apartment.
