KNOWLES BLUNCK ARCHITECTURE is the third generation of a studio culture, that began in 1961, dedicated to excellence in both service and design. Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and builders is one of the main reasons Knowles Blunck Architecture has been successful. Knowles Blunck was created with the specific intent to extend the principal’s expertise throughout our central states region. To that end, the firm has had a Des Moines office for over 50 years led by Kirk Blunck, FAIA and in 2011, established an office in Minneapolis led by principal Stephen Knowles, AIA. The success of our projects—defined in terms of quality, cost value, and aesthetics—are the result of this proven, integrated process. Successful projects are not dependent on building type specialization, size, location, or even budget. Successful projects are a result of our process rigorously adhered to and intensively applied.
