Linda Mazur Design

Linda and her team have worked with us on three design projects in various homes. She is very affable and confident which lends itself to robust discussions about her ideas and recommendations. Linda listens and reads between the lines and the result is a design plan that is just what we wanted. One does not know what one does not know! Linda is creative and able to design a plan that uses the space to its best advantage. It is evident that she is constantly seeking out and learning about new design ideas. We really appreciated her ability to blend the old with the new which totally suits our idea of what home means to us. Her sources of information and related supplies are endless and reliable. Most projects require a plan that includes delivery schedules, workmen scheduling, visit schedules, payment schedules, etc. She adheres to the plan to the best of her ability however in this line of work some of the timing is beyond her ability to influence. Linda played an active role in keeping us informed and reassured accordingly. In the end her insight and resourcefulness has provided us with fresh, comfortable, and affordable designs that we love.

As this is the third project, over 10 years, we have benefited from Linda’s expertise and seen to completion, we are confident that she can quickly assess our needs, understands and appreciates our type of house (age, style, quality of construction) and can source the trades required to do the job. Her creativity is evident in every project (kitchen, bathroom, house decor) and she limits the number of choices that we as clients must make from amongst a variety of interesting items from paint/paper selections to light fixtures, …etc. She makes herself available for whatever question, comment, concern arises at a moment's notice via cell or email. All in all a confident, capable and lovely individual to work with. Her enthusiasm is contagious.

Linda excels at caring about her clients' satisfaction. I worked with Linda on a renovation and new decor for my condo that involved my kitchen, dining room, living room, den and hallways. She was excellent at calming my jitters, walking me through every step and following up whenever I had concerns. When I needed to scale back for budget reasons, she quickly came up with new approaches that worked perfectly for me. I'm very satisfied with the end result. I recommend Linda highly.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen. Linda is an excellent designer that listens to her clients and interprets their desires. What sets Linda's designs apart is the little details that make the space unique. She provided options to us that we hadn't considered and as a result there is not a thing we would change about our kitchen design. We built a 4 foot addition onto our kitchen and the difference that provided was amazing. We went from a cramped awkward to work in space to a beautiful airy and functional room. Everyone that has seen our kitchen cannot believe the transformation. The skylights and windows on the wall that opens up to the backyard have allowed for so much light to enter the room. We love our kitchen!!!

I have worked with Linda and her team on a number of projects including a major renovation. She is easy to work with and provides excellent service. She is very good at staying on top of the work being done and has excellent design skills. She is also very responsive to e-mails and phone calls. No job is too big or too small.

We engaged Linda to come up with a new design for our 20-year old kitchen which involved a total renovation, and we're very pleased with the results! We worked very closely together on the new design to ensure it would meet our needs, and we appreciate the collaborative approach. Linda and her team brought forward some innovative ideas to the design which have greatly improved the overall functionality of our kitchen. We're very happy with the quality of the materials used: the cabinetry, flooring, quartz counter-tops, etc. and each team member involved in the construction was very professional and took pride in their work.

I am so proud to know Linda and to say that she has hired a number of our top graduates over the years. It is gratifying to see the talent she has nurtured as our students have grown under Linda's expert guidance. She personifies professionalism, creativity, expertise, and entrepreneurship.

We first met Linda at the Home Show where we had initial questions about the layout for our recently purchased home. I first was introduced to Linda as a kitchen designer but connected so well that we hired her to finish our entire home renovation. I met Linda at the 2017 Spring Toronto Home Show; we spent more time than allotted discussing my condo kitchen renovation. As a result of that "connection" I began working with Linda and her team in 2017 on the redesign of my condo kitchen. Linda has a great eye for design and can envision how a space will look. She came up with a great design that opened up my living space and gave me a ton more storage and functionality in my kitchen. The kitchen reno ended up including the entire main living space (open concept kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway). When I brought up a design of an entertainment centre that I liked, Linda's response was "we can do that" and so "Phase 2" of my project began. Communication was great; Linda sent sketches and photos via email and I could always touch base via phone. Linda was great for bouncing ideas off of as well, especially when I was deciding on new appliances. Linda recommended and sourced accessories that made the space even more comfortable and inviting. While the entire renovation took longer than expected the results were well worth the wait. I would highly recommend Linda and her team.

We have had the pleasure of working with Linda Mazur on many projects and have found her to be extremely professional and knowledgeable. Her team takes the time to get to know what the client is looking to accomplish, and make sure they get what they are looking for on budget, and done properly without cutting corners. We started our project the summer of 2016 with Linda. We were looking to renovate our existing 30 year old kitchen and sunroom area. With Linda's expert guidance, we were able to update our kitchen with new granite countertops, appliances and kitchen fixtures. In particular, my husband John and I were extremely happy with the work her carpenter Ray did. He built us a new shelf to house a new T.V., and matched our existing cabinets perfectly!! We also loved the work Linda did in our sunroom area. By lightening the colour of our existing wicker furniture and adding a few more interesting pieces, it now looks like a brand new space! After we finished the kitchen area, Linda went on to help us update two more rooms on our main floor. Her suggestions on how to reduce costs, but update our home were excellent. We would highly recommend Linda's services to anyone looking to renovate their home.

Linda is a cheerful, and creative designer. She immediately realized that my style was flexible, sometimes even quirky. And that I liked colour. She uses very able contractors who do a excellent job in a timely fashion. I was pleased to return to Linda when I was ready to do a second room. Again she had wonderful ideas and resources and this too was a success. I will definitely return to Linda for further updates in my home.

Linda was great to work with! She came into my home and completely understood the sentimental attachment and the memories that had been part of our family home for the past 50 years. Linda was able to bring the space up-to-date and still maintain the charm that we love so much. Her ideas and vision for the room were amazing and I never would've been able to come up with any of this on my own. Linda and her team kept me informed and stayed on budget and on time. Linda understood our budget and with respect, expertise, and unparalleled design she provided a redesign with everything we had dreamed about and desired. She took our distressed farmhouse and transformed it into a modern, open, breathtaking space. She listened to the request of each family member, taking our vision she designed a functional, elegant home. In doing so she wasted no space creating the perfect open living space with each person having their desired lifestyle in both their bedroom and bathroom. Our visitors walk up the old steps not fully sure exactly what to expect, upon opening the doors suddenly theirs eyes widen with utter shock and delight as they utter words like, Stunning! “Beautiful! Linda, owner of What's In Store, worked with us for our draperies to cover our vast wall of windows and to re-design our old rod iron railing around our sunken living to a one of a kind design show piece. Linda was helpful, creative, patient, and such a wonderful, fun & energized person to work with.

Our project was challenging - in terms of scope and timing. Linda and Sharon did a great job - an incredible attention to details, flexibility and great ideas. We did face some serious challenges on the way, but Linda's creativity, persistence and always good humour helped a lot - the original style is preserved, yet the house feels modern and very-very inviting.
