Lisa Schmitz has been my designer along with her incredible team for over a year during the building of our home. Could not have done it without them. Lisa’s attention to detail has made my house a real home and I could be happier. Love her!!!!!

We chose our new home for its location and size, not for its weighty traditional aesthetic. I sought help from Lisa Schmitz in imagining a renovation. She and her team were able to conceptualize and actualize an utterly transformed space that reflected our casual and playful lifestyle. Appreciating that I love to cook and to entertain our extended family and community of friends, Lisa attended to both the practical and the beautiful with her Kitchen design. The functionality is irresistible: I feel compelled and delighted to cook. We are thrilled with the entire space. What previously felt formal and fancy is now peaceful, grounded, light-filled and welcoming. We couldn't possibly be happier with the outcome. Working with Lisa and her team was a sincere joy.

Our company, in working with a local custom cabinet builder, had the opportunity to work with Lisa in two whole home remodels. Lisa's eye for modern design is exemplary from concept to final product outcome. The spaces that she designs are clean, timeless, very functional and permeated with colors and textures that are pleasing to the senses. As a remodeler, one of the things that stood out most with Lisa, was her eye to detail with every single aspect of installation--if it's off just a little, she will take notice--something that we appreciate highly in our profession. LSID is a gem in Kansas City. While my home is traditional and her expertise and first love is in contemporary design, I used her to choose every single color in my home. Because of that, my home has a more modern feel to it. She is a perfectionist who is spot on in her decisions. I questioned a couple her selections but was warned by her husband (our remodel contractor) that "Lisa is always right." She really was. I love seeing the designs she works on and plan to use her for a dream remodel project that will be in her contemporary style which I always say is my alter ego. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lisa took our smaller Brookside home and came up with five different, creative and amazing plans for us across a variety of pricing levels so we could see what our house could be and at the same time stay within a budget right for us. Lisa has a beautiful and clever eye for design and helped us incorporate old and new to really make it blend correctly and make it our home. We would never have had this vision on our own. The custom cabinets are perfect and definitely something we are glad we did, maximizing our space 100%, making the space look clean and finished. I enjoyed working with Lisa, her assistants and contractors and look forward to working with her again in the future. Why I had not worked with a designer in the past I will never understand, of course, not all designers are Lisa and she was perfect for us.

Lisa Schmitz was brought in to oversee the entire renovation of an existing building that had been used as a photography studio. She assisted with all aspects of the reconfiguration of the space into a fabulous office, event space and living quarters for the owners. Detailed shop drawings were provided by Lisa that included all kitchen and bathroom cabinets, all window treatments, and she sourced all furniture, carpeting, lighting elements. She provided all of her services in a timely and organized manner and was very easy to work with.

Lisa helped us with a complete house remodel including the kitchen and 3 bathrooms. She has exquisite taste and plenty of knowledge about old houses (our house is 80+ years old). She leans toward modern minimalist style but had fun with my more transitional taste. I trust her style and taste (and loved hanging out with her too!).

My husband is an architect and designed our house in Kansas City. Lisa was a HUGE help in helping us select the interior finishes - tile for all the bathrooms, kitchen and bathroom counters, paint & carpet. She believed in using a simple color palette throughout the house. She helped coordinate our home being published in Spaces magazine last fall. We would use Lisa again and I have recommended her to several friends who have used her as well.

Lisa did a wonderful job with our near whole house renovation. The space is beautiful and functional. She is very detail-oriented and was a master at using the limited space in our house efficiently. We now have a home that has more space for entertaining and storage than we ever thought possible. Our family is ready to enjoy our "new" old home for years to come. I highly recommend Lisa.
