Jim Salopek rescued me from a bad contractor who abandoned my project after the framing was done. The project was a room addition of 448 sq ft. A 16X20 bedroom and a 16X8 closet/laundry. Jim was one of the possible contractors suggested to by the attorney I hired to deal with the original bad contractor. His was the best offer. $5000 to manage the project plus costs with a total estimated between $24,000 and $30,000. His part came in at $30,000. They started 3-21-2017 and finished 6-21-2017. They were very professional and worked to get the thing done in a timely manner. He had to correct several deficiencies left by the first bad contractor. I am extremely pleased with the final results and I am grateful to Jim for helping me with a huge problem. It is not easy to find anyone interested in a small project. He told me he didn't like to see people treated like I had been. His guys were all great and did a first class job.
Jim did a superb job of building our house. We were kept up to date with developments and had an open flow of information about progress and changes. If we need some relating to the house Jim provides it. We recommend him without reservation.
Great quality construction and attention to detail. Job was completed on time and the job site was left clean and debris free. Good service after completion.
I have known Jim for 20+ years and although he is somewhat the competition I gladly recommend his work. He put in my new windows and did an excellent job he is somewhat of a perfectionist. I will never forget he said to one of his workers when viewing the way, a window was trimmed out “rip it out and do it over” I didn’t think it was half bad but that’s the kind of work he does. He is a man of honest good character.
I hired Jim to build my dream home in 2008. He came in on time on budget and I have the most beautiful home EVER. It was a real pleasure to work with someone with such a vast knowledge of every step of the way.
