We did a 2 story addition plus basement and a complete gut rehab on the rest of the house. This was our first time doing a home renovation project and Mandy was amazing to work with. She took us through the entire process and went above and beyond just providing the architecture designs from helping us interview contractors, introducing us to all her contacts for fixtures and cabinets and beyond. My wife and I purchased a tear down right before the real estate crash happened in 2006/2007. What we thought was going to become our dream home turned into six years of living in an uncomfortable, tiny, outdated old home. Finally, by 2012, while not being able to put up a totally new home, we contacted Mandy to see what could be done with some major additions/upgrades. Mandy literally transformed our 'shack' into beautiful brand new house, from two bedrooms to five, from a cramped kitchen to an expansive, up to date and fully functional kitchen/great room. Added new bathrooms, brand new exterior that we've been complimented on by friends and strangers alike. I can definitely say that the inconvenience and effort in having our house upgraded was well worth it. In addition to now having a home we truly love to be in, the home itself was appraised for much more than we thought possible, a very welcome surprise. As with any major construction there are unexpected, unplanned for events. Mandy skillfully guided us thru a myriad of issues that could have easily become major challenges if she hadn't been involved. Mandy has not only the technical knowledge but also has a great eye for aesthetics as well. All the interior spaces flow together, the paint/wall treatment covers, the generous use of windows making the house cheerful and sunny, all add up to a make the house one of a kind. We'll definitely use Mandy again when we downsize to a smaller house. In the mean time we're enjoying our new house immensely.

Mandy provided us with outstanding architectural services. While she has strong attention to details, Mandy never loses sight of the big picture and the client's needs. Mandy has helped us in two occasions. First, about 13 years ago when she designed our attic space and other minor additions around the house. Then, in 2011 and through most of 2012, when Mandy designed a major addition and renovation of most of the house to accommodate our changed needs. Mandy administered the projects, as well. In both instances, Mandy was very attentive to our needs and was able to devise original solutions and make them work with our 100+ years vintage house. From an administrative point of view, Mandy was very flexible and worked way beyond the call of duty with our schedule and several adjustments along the design stage of the project. Mandy assisted through the bid process, the approval process with the local authorities, and was instrumental through the inspection process of the project. She also helped mediating with the hired contractor through the project. Please, do not underestimate the importance of the administrative side of the project and the importance of having a professional like Mandy helping with the above issues. From a technical and creative point of view, Mandy is very knowledgeable of the latest materials and techniques, and was able to recommend solutions that would fit our budget. She is very skilled at understanding the client's needs and applies her creativity to come up with the optimal solution. One of Mandy's brilliant solutions for our need for more space was to rethink the layout of a part of the house rather than just adding space. By shifting two rooms, she combined functional spaces (e.g., kitchen, dining room, living room, family room) within a contiguous space that made the house much more livable and enjoyable by everyone in the family and friends.alike. She was able to create space without adding a lot of space. We strongly recommend Mandy and would not hesitate to hire her again should the need arise.
