Michael Norpell's Wall to Wall
Wall to Wall celebrates mid-century houses—from 1940's ranch tracts to 1960's architect-designed modernist homes. Sensitive to your existing home and environmental surroundings, I develop a comprehensive vision of your interior and outdoor living spaces blending the multi-functioning needs of modern family living. With an emphasis on affordable solutions, your house is transformed both inside and out to be the "cool" home on the block. Wall to Wall is your partner from start to finish in every phase of any design and construction project from total gut rehabs to simply revamping one room. Michael Norpell's simple, clean line approach with a sense of warmth transcends all expectations, as he outfits your mid-century home with vintage and custom designed housewares bringing the smallest of details to the overall design package. Wall to Wall offers a flexible approach to establish aesthetically pleasing, functional and timeless outdoor living environments complimenting the residence's architecture and your lifestyle by developing multiple conceptual designs. High quality materials, personalized service and cost-effective design solutions shape your outdoor retreat. Michael Norpell, ASLA Since opening his own design/build firm in 2000, “Norpie” creates spaces enhancing the personality of his clients while being true to the original design aesthetic of the structure. In the process, he creatively wedges great design into budgets of any size. Norpie balances big picture perspective with attention to detail, executing a vision from the overall experience and drilling it down to details such as cabinet pulls or molding. He’s been highlighted in Chicago Social Interiors, LUXE Magazine and NS Magazine. Relocating to Chicago’s Northshore, Norpie has transformed his focus to residential. Wall to Wall is an all-encompassing interior, landscape and lifestyle residential design/build firm specializing in the rebuilding, remodeling and landscaping of midcentury homes. Today, Michael Norpell also sits on the Board of Directors for Designs for Dignity, an organization providing pro bono design services to nonprofit organizations in need.
