I have had the pleasure of working on the interior design of three large multimillion new construction homes with Michael Salus Architects. Michael is very knowledgeable about overall construction techniques, contributes great ideas and always acts like a team player. We had a great working relationship and the projects turned out beautifully! I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to hire someone who not only knows what they are doing but will make the experience enjoyable.

I have used Michael Salus as an architect and contractor on a remodel and as an architect on my new residential construction. I will tell you that he is incredibly dedicated to doing an outstanding job and his architectural and interior design skills are great, and with his experience as a contractor he knows how to design buildings to be built efficiently and with quality control. He has a background in commercial architecture which has helped a great deal as my new house has some unique structural elements not found in most houses and his knowledge of commercial structural systems really helped us. He is a great problem solver, especially when it comes to the utilization of interior space and flow, Michael will take the personal time to understand what you want and has a great team to pull that together. Zain Ali is a great member of his team as well.

After having several false starts with another architect, Michael was quickly able to see our vision and get all our design ideas met. With changes to several rooms and some dramatic redesign, he was able to make great suggestions to our ideas to make the new spaces even better. Michael was always accessible and very quick to return calls and the follow-up was exemplary. Bottom line—would we hire Michael Salus again? Absolutely!

Mike and his team at Michael Salus Architects are absolutely amazing! I would strongly recommend them for your project. We were novices to a renovation and remodeling project of this size. Mike was knowledgeable about all aspects of the project and very patient with us as we asked question after question. He visited us at our home several times and worked diligently with us to get the design for our home exactly as we wanted it. As we worked on the design I suggested several changes. Each time, Mike would work with me, discuss my idea, and help me understand how what I was considering would impact our overall construction budget when we picked a contractor. Even though as the architect Mike could have designed anything I asked, I was very appreciative of his overall knowledge of the industry and his respect for our construction budget. With his knowledge and experience, he was able to guide us on choices so that we did not end up with a design that at the end of the day, we would not have been able to afford to build. Mike was always on time and worked with our schedule, including meeting us several times at night so that we did not have to take off work. Most importantly, the design he came up with for our house was FANTASTIC! The experience could not have been better and I would give Mike the highest recommendation possible.
