Hiring Mohler + Ghillino Architects was the best decision we made for our home remodel! Rick M and Rick G challenged our thinking – in the best way possible! - and offered fresh design solutions based on their extensive expertise. They worked within our budget constraints and helped us set realistic expectations regarding cost. During the construction phase of the project, they promptly responded with additional input and advice when we requested it. Despite the modest scope of our project – remodel of about 800 sq ft of a 1960s rambler – grounding it in solid plans delivered by the Mohler + Ghillino team was crucial to our project’s success, and working with them was more affordable than we expected.
We have already recommended them to several friends.

Our project was an extensive interior remodel of a 1963 view home. We greatly appreciated the steady thorough top level expertise and collaborative approach that Mohler Ghillino demonstrated throughout the project, very successfully achieving the vision we aimed for. A few specific examples to note include innovative perimeter ceiling lighting, beautifully redesigned view windows, and a great reimagined staircase/fireplace in the center of the open living, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen/dining area functions just as hoped and gets a lot of hangout use! We enjoy living in all the spaces the "two Ricks" created!

I was lucky enough to have Rick Mohler design my custom prefab, which is currently in the midst of being built. He was extremely professional, listened to all my concerns, was very conscious of my tight budget and always receptive to my many emails and questions. He came up with a great design, and I just can't wait for it to be completed! His partner, Rick Ghillino helped out later in the process, and he too was very easy to work with. Best of all, the 2 Ricks helped make a potentially stressful process really fun. I very much appreciate them as people, as well as professionals. Thanks Rick and Rick!

Thanks Yuko! We've really enjoyed working with you as well. We're looking forward to heading up to the plant to see the modules before they're shipped to the site.

MG Architects were hired to help lead a large evolving design process with a number of stakeholders involved from the beginning. They weathered design by committee rounds with good humor and patience and managed to keep the project on track in the early stages. They honored and stuck with an original budget doing smart value engineering while continuing to refine the building and standing up for essential design features. In all, the design aesthetic proved to be coherent across a very large space with an appropriately scaled attention to detail. It's been a pleasure working with them - highest marks for integrity and professionalism.

We hired this company for a job that spanned 2012 and part of 2013
We hired Mohler & Ghillino to help us design a small village including the the first home/supported studios for adults with varying developmental differences. It was no small task navigating a small army of stakeholders AND governmental codes that literally changed mid-process, Rick and Rick did both masterfully while maintaining the integrity of the architectural design. I was extremely thankful to have the Rick's on board to help us develop a flexible and BEAUTIFUL building with simple roof-lines and resilient materials, and environmentally safe finishes.

We were one of those homeowners who believed that one could build a house without an architect. But very early in the process we realized that the house that my husband was hoping to build was very different from the one I had imagined. We were very lucky to meet and hire Rick Mohler at that time. Rick designed the house for us that has everything we hoped for and after living in the house for more than a year, there is absolutely nothing that we don’t love and would want to change.
Rick listened very carefully to our ideas and ‘needs and wants’. His design is both elegant and functional with a lot of light and warmth. His attention to details is incredible, from light fixtures (terrific!) to tile work in our bathrooms and kitchen (amazing!) to exterior and interior colors (beautiful!). And he was always very mindful of our budget which was limited.
We are very thankful to Rick Mohler and his colleague, Rick Ghillino, who we worked with during the construction process, for the great house that we have now!

From November 2010 (architect selection process - 5 firms) until August 2013 (construction close-out) I worked with Mohler + Ghillino Architect (MGA) as a professional and project board member assisting the client in a variety of areas related to contracts, design, and construction.
MGA was awarded the contract for the design of an Adult Family Home, which consisted of approximately 9,000 square feet of living space estimated to cost around 2.5 million dollars. The home is located near Leavenworth Washington in the beautifully wooded valley of Sunitsch Canyon. As a result of outstanding portfolio and interview presentations they were the unanimous choice of the board of directors. Based on their presentation, it was obvious to the board that MGA had superior residential experience and the specific knowledge to meet the needs of the proposed project.
The MGA quality that stood out for me, throughout the entire design and construction process, was their ability to work in a very positive and constructive manner during all phases of the project. As part of their contract they were asked to involve not only the client in all major design decisions but were also asked to include the contractor and to use them as a resource. This isn't always a "normal" relationship afforded during the design process but MGA celebrated the opportunity to involve the contractor as part of the design team. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Outstanding collaboration.
MGA meet all deadlines even when the client made eleventh hour changes. The project started and was completed on schedule even while dealing with winter conditions. I found MGA to be very flexible with delineating requested options, which ultimately allowed the client make final decisions. I also found them to be up front and respectful when they felt a change request was not in the best interest of the project.
Finally the building is simply beautiful and has gotten outstanding ascetic and functional reviews from both staff and board members. I would recommend their firm to anyone planning a similar building project.
Sincerely, Michael Patterson Architect

Look to do a remodel
Excellent design "taste". Appears affordable to the average joe, use of materials are high end but not over the top. I love the use and mixture of stone, wood, ceramic, and glass. Coordinated overal look and blending of natural materials results in a timeless look.

I have known and worked with "the Ricks" since their inception in the Center of the Universe in the last century. As an artisan serving the architectural community, I am particularly inspired working with high caliber architects like Adams Mohler Ghillino because they are so creatively responsive to each clients needs while also bringing a steady diet of innovative ideas/solutions to the table. They also bring a lot of laughter to the table ~ and it ought to be fun after all ~ its your house!
I love these guys.

I have built several of Adams, Mohler, Ghillino projects. Each one has been a pleasure and learning experience to work on. As a builder they have opened my eyes to the importants of architecture in buildings. The attention to detail they show to owners wants and needs was great. Structural details were always shown the utmost attention as well. Future clients should look forward to an great expirance as well as a one of a kind product.

Hope that helps.

Commented: Interested in completing a new home build based on this architecture.Chelsea,
Thanks for your question. The house is roughly 3400 SF excluding garage. As it’s a custom designed home for a specific client and site we don’t share floor plans.
Thanks!
