I was senior Project Manager at Burbank Housing Develolpment Corp. in Santa Rosa, CA. Claudia was the architect I chose on Vida Nueva, a 24 unit affordable rental housing development aimed to meet the needs of families with a member with significant mental or emotional problems. The result was a beautiful very well designed little neighborhood of charming houses and a community building that admirably met the crying needs of these families, providing a setting that supported recovery. She is a gifted designer, a joy to work with as client and an open-hearted person willing to use her gifts to do good in the world. I would work with her again without hesitation. Claudia and I have done a few projects together. She designs, I build. On our first project together, we were part of a team approach to building and the result sold me on the benefits forever. Claudia's architectural design resonates with me on a personal level as well with its roots in the Arts and Crafts movement, re-interpreted for the modern world and the individual needs of her clients. Forward thinking and engaged at many levels in the green community and the local architectural community, Claudia has contacts with many other professionals, from structural engineers to landscape designers, knowing whom to pull in to get the job done. Claudia Cleaver is an exceptionally talented and hard working architect. She and I have worked on about 5 large projects together in San Francisco and Sonoma. She is open to different approaches to a project and gives the client options. She is extremely reasonable in her fees. You cannot go wrong with Claudia.

We hired Claudia Cleaver of Morse and Cleaver to design our new house. We worked with her for probably three years total. We are very pleased with our new house, which was completed in May of 2012. Claudia is very creative and she listens very well and is therefore able to create the features that are most important to us. She is easy to communicate with and it is important to her to create a space that is what we want, not just what she thinks would be good. She is experienced and has alot of depth in her thinking and approach to architecture. For example, things you might want in your house but might not consciously know that you want or be able to articulate that information. We gave her about a 6 page single spaced list of what we wanted in our house. We got almost all of that! Her sense of space and how big the spaces should be is excellent.
