Murray Legge designed a beautiful and functional outdoor space while paying attention to our vision. Murray brought to fruition a clean and contemporary outdoor living area. He worked very well throughout the building process with both our pool builder and contractor. Murray designed an outdoor area that is an extension of our home. The canopy over the cooking and seating area provides much needed protection from the sun and blends seamlessly into our rural landscape. One of our favorite design elements is the interesting detail and texture of the canopy ceiling. Murray was very approachable, paid attention to detail, listened to our ideas and was pleasant and easy to work with. He is a very talented professional. We appreciate the opportunity to have worked with him.

Murray (& Travis, et al) were great to work with, constantly had great ideas for improvements and could pick up what we wanted easily. I would not hesitate to work with them again. I don't think you'll find a better group of people to work with !

Murray Legge created our beautiful house on a chalenging hill side lot. His enthusiasm, easy going manner and artistry made this process a fun experience. Murray places his clients wishes ahead of his own always willing to listen and incorperate ideas with his creativity, while at the same time not neglecting the budget. The final project is one filled with ever changing light - like magic, and windows all around capturing the view. My husband and I hired Murray Legge to design an addition remodel of our very dated 1950s home. We had never worked with an architect before and weren't sure what to expect from him or the process. Murray has been generous and patient during this entire process. We are almost finished and are thrilled to see how beautiful the addition has turned out. Murray's years of experience and great eye for design and detail made all the difference in the final product. He excels at integrating natural light into a space. He designed a beautiful clerestory with windows that runs the length of the house. Light spills in at different times of day and at different hues; it seems to almost be playful at times. How magical! We are very happy we hired Murray and offer our highest recommendation!

Murray Legge has the eye. Or rather, he's got MANY eyes and is especially talented at sharing these views with his lucky clients. I hired Murray to transform my walk-out garage into an apartment that I wouldn't mind living in, should the need arise, beneath my 1500 square foot house on a little hill above Shoal Creek in the (relative) center of Austin, Texas. Best decision I've ever made, in a life filled with some sweet (urban) living environments, despite my limited financial means. The fact that he puts as much effort into lower-budgeted jobs, such as my garage apartment, and makes them into small jewels, is remarkable (and reminds me to be grateful for my continued good luck in the abode-on-earth department). Although we had mutual friends and I knew he was considered a good architect--plus I liked the places where I'd seen his work--working with this incredibly creative, equanimous, resourceful problem solver was delightful. Since when can most people claim that about any aspect of a multi-faceted building project? I usually found myself wide-eyed at the eloquence of his suggestions and solutions to any designs problems. He made great use of the exterior environment: he accentuated the view of the creek, minimized the impact of my house's forgettable driveway, and formed an inviting approach that neatly defines an outdoor patio area that, while small, adds to the appeal of the apartment whether looking from the outside or the apartment's interior. He made great use of the interior environment: had I ever even noticed the 60 year-old concrete wall at the back of the garage that was the catalyst for the rest of his inspired design? But above all, his take on light has got to be one of the traits that sets him apart, or at least that quality alone will have me coming back for his counsel when the wherewithal is in place. With seven windows (another indication of good luck!) bordering the 375 square foot studio and translucent polygal panels on three sides, the apartment will never be considered gloomy. The space is infused with a sublime gleam. There's no doubt I feel super *smart* (okay, lucky!)--bordering on elitist--to be one of Murray's clients.
