We have a beautiful home, but parts of it, especially the master bath, were poorly designed and not very functional. Neal came over to take a look and within days we had plans for a bathroom remodel. It looked good on paper, but the finished product is wonderful! We now have one of the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen, but more importantly, it is extremely functional and ergonomically perfect! Somehow we added more features but ended up with a room that feels so much larger than it did. It's now our favorite room in the house. Neal also drew up plans for moving a door in our living room that accesses the backyard, to the dining room. We can't believe what a difference that has made in our home. It opened up our living room and made access to the back so much easier. It was a little change that brought huge comfort. Neal has great vision for space, wonderful ideas, and was a pleasure to work!

Our experience working with Neal Huston as the architect for our new home could not have been more enjoyable, rewarding and cost effective. He understood exactly what we wanted, incorporated our ideas, needs and tastes into his design, facilitated our selection of materials, worked extremely well with the general contractor and subs and was attentive and promptly responsive to any of our and their concerns or questions. He made the design process totally enjoyable. His many years of experience in Central Oregon have earned him an outstanding reputation. Not only did he design a perfect home for us, but he also guided us in furniture and art selection and placement. He was able to masterfully and harmoniously combine textures, colors and materials. He was totally knowledgeable of current design products and various mechanical systems. We had used Neal for remodels to our previous home and to our family business building, always with great results, be we consider our new home his "piece de resistance!"

Neal Huston has designed on 3 occasions for us: two remodels for a 40 year old home in Sunriver and a remodel for a 30 year old home on the coast. He does not 'over design'. He chooses colors and finishes that are compatible with our beautiful northwest natural surroundings. His spatial concepts are open, light and flow well. He often makes excellent suggestions such as bathtub fixtures & curtains, so grandchildren can be easily be bathed, rather than inside a difficult glass enclosure. He was thorough, prompt, and regularly checking in with the contractor & us to determine if there was anything further he needed to provide.

Our net zero house was designed by Neal Huston and Associates. Although we worked through our builders, the company understood our desires and created a plan that only required a few small changes. We love our house and would highly recommend Neal Huston and Associates.

Neal was professional, consultative and attentive. He listened to all of our ideas and made them an architectural reality. He was patient and thorough, and very knowledgable about our neighborhood's specific building requirements. I've had the pleasure of knowing Neal since I was a child, and was in fact instructed by him to take as many art & drafting classes as possible in high school. 25 years later and I have the privilege of building 5 homes he and his team designed, for 2 different clients. Their designs are fantastic, and the floorpans always 'work' so well. As a builder, I love their details, and their Project Manual spells out everything we need. They are very pragmatic when it comes to material choices and building systems. I can't recommend them enough.

We selected a steep lot with spectacular views and asked Neal Huston & Associates to design an industrial modern house. Neal designed a spectacular home that meets all of our expectations. We wanted to be very involved in the design process and Neal never tired of our constant input.
