As a realtor, landlord, and real estate professional, lots of people ask me for recommendations for Architects. I always recommend Neely Architecture first. Ms. Neely is understanding of her client's needs, a good communicator, and good at working within a specified budget and time frame. Her aesthetic sense is spot on, and I always rely on Lisa for matters of taste and style.

After living in a small house for many years we decided to add an addition. We had ideas for a 2nd floor, expanding in different directions. We wanted lots of light and to take advantage of the mountain view. We didn't want an ostentatious house. We didn’t want a typical suburban house but weren't sure what we did want - a cross between an old farmhouse, a Vermont ski lodge and a Manhattan loft, which seemed like different ideas. We also wanted to be as "green" as possible and had a modest budget. Lisa managed to capture those feelings in the new design. Lisa took our indecisions (and constant questions and input) in stride and came up with a plan that successfully captured / incorporated all of these disparate ideas with an open flow design that we absolutely love. We did a full renovation & addition that doubled the size of our existing house while keeping its original character. People have remarked about its "California vibe" which is an aesthetic we love. The only drawback is that we wanted (and got) a house that makes us feel like we are on vacation and now we never want to go anywhere!

Lisa was the architect for two projects we did- a screened in porch and the remodeling of our kitchen. I cannot sing her praises enough! First of all, she really listened to what I wanted and she got it. She was able to take my very abstract concept, add ideas of her own that i would never have thought of, and came up with a plan that truly captured my vision. I feel as if she knew what I wanted better than I did. And she was with me every step of the way- interviewing contractors, selecting things like tile, doing research for materials and appliances, and keeping track of all the details. She also kept the project on track. She's a perfectionist, and she didn't accept anything from the contractors and suppliers that wasn't completely right. I can't imagine any architect doing a better job. She was easy to work with, prompt, professional- I feel so blessed that I had the chance to work with such a talented and personable woman!

I was a co-worker of Lisa's at a mid-size firm some years ago and was extremely impressed by her breadth of knowledge, dedication to design integrity and level of professionalism at an early stage in her career. Since that time, Lisa has successfully led her own practice, skillfully procuring and producing projects that enable professional exploration and growth and that effectively leverage her exceptional skills as a designer.
