Doreve Nicholaeff of Nicholaeff Architecture + Design has designed two lovely homes for me. One is a waterfront home with undulating curves that mirror the landscape. The other is a downtown condominium apartment with thoughtful geometry that enlivens the space. Doreve and her design team did an exceptional job designing each project based on our program and by innovatively expanding on that program as we went through the design phase. Each project presented complex challenges with respect to building and/or conservation considerations. Through her architectural and artistic vision, Doreve delivered two really amazing, warm homes that present appealing and connected spaces throughout. The waterfront home was deftly done bringing the outside into the home, while presenting a home that is very much part of the landscape. In the downtown home, Doreve took a long and somewhat boxy space and opened it up with new angles and curves that made the space so much more interesting. Doreve and her associates are professional, thoughtful and dedicated to addressing the client’s needs. They develop detailed architectural plans that allow the contractor to implement the design with ease. You cannot imagine how pleased I am with all of the work that Doreve and her team have done for me. Doreve Nicholaeff and her team designed & created our dream home that far exceeded our expectations. We were first introduced to Doreve's work many years ago. Her homes are beautifully designed, very large but yet Indigenous to their surroundings. They look as though they were always there. Most with graceful interior curved walls and spectacular windows. Her work "jaw dropping". You cant help but crave her work wishing you owned each home you see. She has a signature style. You can usually spot a Doreve Nicholaeff home, when you see one it usually provokes a "WOW that's incredible". She has a gift few do. The interior detailing as nice as the exterior.
