Onyx has done a great job on my addition project. The communication is great and Kinley was very helpful and timely completing the city required revisions of the plans. His coordination with the engineer was excellent and was able to work with the design changes we wanted throughout the process. I highly recommend.

Kinley is great to work with! He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to make sure we were able to think through the build process and what might be possible. He also followed up to make sure we got the project off the gound.

We worked with Onyx Design when we did a full renovation of our entire home and it was such a great experience. There were so many things that were recommended to us by their team that we didn’t think would make a difference and they have made a huge difference in the functionality and beauty of our home. They think things through their designs as if it was their own home and put that same kind of care throughout the entire process. We cannot say enough great things about them and how much we love the home they helped us create!

We contacted Kinley Puzey, to help us create a basement that would reflect the ideas that we had and be functionable for a family. He was willing to come and measure and listen to our ideas and then come up with a plan that would work for us. He had some great ideas that was cost-effective and the design he came up was awesome. Would I contact Kinley Puzey again? Absolutely he did a marvelous job for us.

Kinley was outstanding to work with, taking the time to review my needs for a woodworking shop and work through a number of designs before finding the right concept and execution to create a workshop that is both functional and uniquely modern. Currently working our shop plans from Kinley into a larger landscape design. Hope to break ground soon!

Kinley was very easy to work with. He knows his skill set well as an architect. I found his pricing to be very reasonable for the service you get. I would highly recommend. My project was an extensive remodel with an expected cost of $250-$300k.

Incredibly talented architect! Kinley was great to work with in person and from a distance. Our project was a good distance away, but that never slowed him down, We were effectively able to view and discuss house plans via Skype. He is a great listener and does his research to make sure he provides you with the desired product. I even received messages with great pictures and ideas for our home after his work had been completed because he had seen the pictures and thought of us and our desires for our home. A genuinely good, honest, and understanding person who always has your best interest in mind!

We hired Kinley at Onyx design Collective to collaborate with us and build a few models for a facelift to the exterior of our 1950s brick rambler. PROs: -Kinley was very professional to work with -Provided a quick turn around -Knowledgeable about the requirements for making structural changes -He has a great design style -Provided a variety of options for us within our budget -Met with us multiple times to make adjustments to the design models as we negotiated our options -Provided very accurate and realistic models of our home CONs: We hired him because we could see that he had a great eye for design and we loved his modern style. However, while he did use his skills and style in providing initial options for our exterior facelift, in hind sight I wish he would've provided stronger recommendations regarding what he thought would look best in the end.

My husband and I couldn't agree on a paint color for a specific section of our home's exterior, and we went back and forth to the hardware store for numerous paint samples, which we spot checked in areas all over the house. It was a super frustrating process until Slate Design Studio stepped in. Our professional was able to provide digital renderings of the house showcasing a carefully selected array of colors so that we could clearly see how the section of the house would look in its entirety next to every other surface it touched and needed to coordinate with. Our professional offered to change colors as needed, or answer questions for us throughout the process, and he was prompt with his replies when we asked him anything. We were able to specify the brand of paint we wanted to use, and our digital rendition was tweaked accordingly, with paint colors and product numbers listed so that we knew exactly what to look for in the store. Suddenly the process was simple - we may never go back to our antiquated system of choosing colors. My husband and I have almost decided on one color we both like (the options he presented are really good, and one was a color we never even considered, but frankly like better than our own ideas) , and painting will begin in August.
