I utilized Patrick for a garage with a shed dormer and front gable requirement, so this ended up being much bigger and more sophisticated than a simple garage build. Pat was very quick to answer questions and provide ideas, and I have learned a lot working with him. While the plans did take some time to put together especially with discussion & adjustments throughout the process, Pat was great with communication to let me know expectations as he had other clients to cater to. While some may say overkill, Pat's recommendations are for "a job done right", leaving no stone unturned and very well thought out. Pat also has a green mindset, thinking about the environment and years down the road rather than the cheapest solution. I felt confident that his plans were well engineered and that I would not have any long term structural issues and would not be cutting any corners. Pat also went out of his way to respond to my many questions after-hours and on weekends where we were doing most of the work, even after the plans were delivered. This shows that he is very passionate about what he does, and cares about his customers and entire duration of their project. If you are looking for the cheapest way to build something without considering the environment or energy efficiency or following code, Pat may not be the ideal candidate. But if you want a very well built, well thought-out structure, I would recommend Pat and would use him again for other projects.

Words cannot express how fantastic my husband and I think Patrick is. He is incredibly responsive and a very deep thinker. He takes into account every possible perspective for each decision he makes for walls, closets, windows, etc. Can you see the bed from the hallway? What is the line of sight when you walk in the front door? How large is your furniture? There have also been several instances where my husband and I will say, "Hmmm, I wonder what that would look like." Patrick will answer, "I wondered the same thing, so I drew it. Here it is for you to see." He uses a computer model, but he is also a very talented artist, so he can sketch ideas and options that are sometimes easier for us to visualize. The last thing that I will mention in this review is that he is very available for discussion. We are mid-build and several questions have come up which always do. We text him, and he gets right back to us, or we decide to jump on a quick call. My sister's architect was done as soon as the plans were stamped, and she never interacted with him again. Patrick has stayed in contact though our entire process, helping with decisions on door styles and window trim amongst a whole host of other things. We would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Patrick pays attention to details we never considered regarding functionality and aesthetics. The home Patrick designed is classic and yet unique. A friend, neighbor and Texas oil tycoon, told us it was one of the finest federal style homes he'd ever seen in all of his travels. Patrick's standards and ethics are unsurpassed. Absolutely hire Patrick again!

Patrick listens carefully to people to understand what they are trying to do, and then he applies his extensive architectural experience to helping them turn their ideas into reality. We wanted to expand our 100 year old house while maintaining its character, and Patrick showed us good and bad examples of additions that had been done by others in our historic neighborhood in Corning. His design for the addition complemented our existing house without overpowering it. We received an award from the neighborhood association for the addition, thanks to Patrick's design. Patrick did a great job for us, and we enjoyed working with him.
