Paul Moon Design

Paul Moon designed a gorgeous new home for us, and was engaged throughout construction to ensure that the execution was flawless. I couldn't have asked for a better experience building a new home. I wouldn't want to use anyone else in the future. Some truly genius design choices!

Professional reference: I have worked with many of Seattle's leading architects and design firms in Seattle over the last 20 years as a painting contractor. Without a doubt Paul Moon should be on any short list where the project is a custom designed home. Paul has a better understanding of the construction process than most designers and architects. Paul is honest, practical, and uses creativity to solve design challenges. Personal reference: Paul and I met as undergraduates at the University of Washington in the early 90's. Paul asked me to take pictures (I was the photography guy) of buildings and people for his work in design and art..I see the work on Paul's website, flickr steam, etc it speaks to the process and time Paul takes on every project..and every detail. My wife and I intend to build a dream home in the coming years; and I will ask Paul Moon to design it.

We just completed a house in a development designed by a prominent architectural firm. Once the house was framed, it was clear that there was a design mistake regarding the fireplace. You would have had to be a giraffe to view the TV. We were uncomfortable using the architect who made the mistake--and others. We had seen Paul Moon's work on Houzz and liked his aesthetic. The great thing about Houzz was we had actually seen Paul's work. So we reached out to Paul. He solved the problem in a beautiful way. It just looks great. He was terrific to work with and working with him long distance was not a problem. We then encountered a problem with the kitchen cabinet design. A help call went back out to Paul who was on vacation. Even though he was on vacation, he quickly solved the problem and sent us the drawing. My wife an I agree that we would never undertake a building project without Paul's input up front. Everyone who sees the changes Paul made comment on how great they look.

Paul designed a brand new home for us in 2010. He worked closely with both my husband and myself; listening to our needs throughout the entire process. He has a great sense of design as well as being respectful of function. Our home turned out even better than we imagined and enjoy every moment we are here. It was a great experience from beginning to end. If our house wasn't perfect I would love to work with Paul again.

Fantastic architect. We have hired Paul four times now for four very different but large projects. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. Great to deal with, perfect balance of listening to his client's suggestions versus suggesting new ideas you hadn't considered.
