RHG transformed my dated, small kitchen into a fresh, calm space for my family to cook, eat and be together. They brought nature inside through a wall of windows and greatly expanded our living space without adding an inch of square footage! The design was 100% custom, modern and warm. It called for the highest-quality, natural materials and yet, fell (surprisingly!) near our original budget. RHG is our go to architect for projects big and small. Rachael and team have completed a major home renovation for us, smaller home projects and also commercial architecture and design work for our businesses. My wife and I hired Rachael and RHG to design a remodel of our house's basement level and main floor fireplace/TV area. She and her team asked about and listened to our priorities, offered multiple solutions in terms of design and materials, and helped us select and worked closely with the general contractor, providing results that exceeded my high expectations. I think Rachael offers a very unique and appealing combination of someone who has great stylistic sense and taste, but also who is extremely detail-oriented and focused on execution. RHG designed a reconstruction of my master bedroom suite, entrance foyer and living room. Their work for me was excellent in all respects. RHG provided service that evidenced enormous creativity, imagination, focus, and care. Rachel went above and beyond to educate herself on the requirements for a LEED certificated project. She is creative and thinks outside of the box to repurpose items in a project (e.g. repurposing ceiling joist into office furniture). Rachel introduced us to many green vendors and products that were high-quality and within our budget. She maintains the “green” spirit within every project. She has been an integral part of my team and none of my projects would have been a success without her.

We put off our kitchen renovation for eighteen years, and when we finally faced the inevitable, we turned to Rachael for professional advice. We had never before worked with an architect or a designer--and Rachael is both--and at first, we were hesitant to take the step. We wondered if we truly needed that level of expertise, and we worried that our own taste/design sense might get lost, and that costs would increase. By the end of our first meeting, our doubts were over. We asked Rachael to draw plans and oversee the project, and it was the best decision we could have made. Rachael incorporated our ideas and suggestions into her design, and suggested possibilities that never would have occurred to us. She also came up with unusual and cost-effective materials for counter-tops, tiles, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, and reconfigured kitchen, mudroom and dining room into a harmonious whole. Our new kitchen has twice as much light, counter-top, and storage space than it had before, and our once-neglected dining room is a welcoming extension of the beautiful kitchen. Throughout the project, Rachael was a pleasure to work with, and we continue to enjoy her work every day.
