For the longest time, we had wanted to turn our backyard into a beautiful and functional outdoor space, and especially after the pandemic, more so where we could entertain outdoors - complete with a bathroom and kitchenette/grilling area. We are tremendously grateful that we connected with Ryan to help us design and plan out the space just right for us. He is meticulous, thorough and transparent in everything he does, from communication to design documents to followup. Ryan is friendly and good to work with; he made the entire process less intimidating, less overwhelming and more doable. We highly recommend him, if you're looking for an architect who blends aesthetic with form, in a practical but beautiful way.

I cannot say enough good things about working with Ryan at RDA. We came to Ryan with the Herculean task of helping us renovate our new home in Cincinnati while we were overseas in Australia for a work assignment. We had to communicate remotely the entire project and were only able to meet in person one time during the course of the remodel. He as able to take our 1979 contemporary home and update it in a way that stayed true to the house's style while providing us with a modern and beautiful update. Ryan's plans and organization made it easy to get thorough and accurate bids. He also was helpful in providing a list of contractors. He listened to what we wanted but also presented new ideas that really made the remodel special. I highly recommend RDA and would work with him again in the future without hesitation.

We used RDA on our whole house remodel with addition project. From the very first meeting we were completely impressed. We knew what we were looking for but he had the vision to make it happen. Our project was atypical for our area. Most people would have torn down the house and rebuilt new. Ryan braved the journey of keeping the character of the house while adding room for our family. The final product looks like everything could have been part of the original house and not something added on as an afterthought. The complexity of our roof line was beyond our comprehension but not our appreciation. He did a masterful job at combining our ideas with a plan and style that we absolutely love. Another (and not insignificant) thing we are very thankful for is the contractor Ryan recommended. They executed his plans with precision, attention to detail and responsiveness. We could not imagine doing this any other way or with any other architect.

Ryan helped us to redesign the layout of the second and third floors of our 1915 colonial home. This included a completely re-envisioned master bedroom and bathroom as well as turning an unusable space on the third floor into a guest suite and guest bathroom. One special touch we truly love are the His and Hers walk-in closets he designed for us. Ryan’s design acumen is exceptional. Being a University of Cincinnati, DAAP graduate myself, I appreciated that he is also an alumnus. His attention to detail and ability to make creative use of every inch of space wowed us. Not only that, Ryan works with the finest craftsmen in Cincinnati ensuring a beautiful finished product. We appreciated that he maintained the traditional character of the rest of the home while also infusing a modern sensibility. He was patient, quick to respond to any questions we had and very easy to work with. RDA definitely has our recommendation and we would not hesitate to contact Ryan for any future projects.

We are returning clients of Ryan's for a reason! Our first project was a master bedroom and bathroom remodel in an old Tudor. Second project was a complete gut job, down to the studs and remodel of a classic Colonial. His design skill is unbelievable. What I appreciated the most was Ryan listened to our vision and requests and conceptualized everything we were thinking. He is fantastic and attention to detail is incredible.

Ryan has helped us out now on 2 house projects. His attention to detail in his drawings and his creative yet functional designs are what have impressed us the most and kept us coming back as repeat customers. This was our second project with Ryan. We were so pleased with the outcome of our first remodeling project with RDA that we decided to seek out Ryan again for an even larger project this time around. We remodeled most of our first floor living space to include the kitchen, laundry room, family room, dining area and office. We have a contemporary taste and sometimes it can be challenging to find someone who sees the vision we have for our space exactly as we do, but Ryan always seems to know what we want. Two months into our remodel, the world shut down with the pandemic but Ryan and the contractor did not falter and the project was still able to be completed in a timely manner. There were very few surprises if at all and we could not be happier with the final outcome. Ryan always took the time to make sure we were getting exactly what we envisioned and there was great attention to detail and quality. We would definitely look to Ryan again if we had any more projects left to do. We would highly recommend him and his firm to anyone seeking a remodel.

There needs to be a 5+ rating here! I found Ryan on houzz as I was searching for inspiration ideas for my outdoor living area reno. He was able to take all of my visions and incorporate them into a sophisticated, Zen oasis. In additional to having amazing creativity and mad design skills, Ryan is friendly, funny, easy to work with, and extremely patient. He also went over and above to step-in and support me during the construction and material selection process. So...if Ryan can take on your project, search no more!!

We were referred to Ryan by our cabinet maker who quickly realized that the scope of our project was way beyond a cabinet update. Having never been through a remodel project of any scale before, we were apprehensive about the project. At our first meeting with Ryan, he outlined the process from conceptualization, to design and blueprint production, through construction. Working with Ryan was easy as he communicated well, was organized, punctual, and really listened to our thoughts and concerns. He was very accurate in his estimation of budget which helped us plan accordingly. The process moved smoothly from design to construction and Ryan was helpful in the selection of contractors by providing me a list of questions for them to answer. During the construction phase, Ryan was available to both us and the contractor to answer questions or solve problems as needed. Some of the specific design elements that have enhanced our project are the beautiful curved steps that enter the kitchen, a toe kick design that makes the cabinets look more like free standing furniture, the presence of a radiant heater beneath the island, special spice cabinets to house my extensive assortment of spices, and a custom made yet affordable exhaust hood for the range. Ryan's help was also invaluable for selection of cabinet hardware, backsplash tiles, and lighting, We love the finished project! Ryan took a severely dysfunctional kitchen and gave us a beautiful, functional, and comfortable space for our busy lives to come together.
