If you’re reading this, you’ve found your architect so look no further! We’d give Audrey 500 stars if we could, as she was truly the savior in our home renovation project. Not only did she deliver beautiful plans, she hand-held us through the entire process, and added another (much needed) level of oversight with respect to various trades to ensure things were being done to plan. Audrey was an absolute pleasure to work with and is a consummate professional. She’s super organized and delivers exactly what she says she’ll deliver, and then some!

We took a single story house, stripped it down to "one wall" and the foundation, added a second story, and gutted/remodeled the ADU/Garage. Pretty complex project in terms of designing the existing foundation to accept the second story addition, made significantly more difficult when also having to solve for Santa Monica's often nebulous parcel development rules. I highly recommend Audrey; she communicates well, is a strong problem solver, is very organized, and thinks ahead.

I hired Sato Architects for the remodel and update of my home in Culver City. The project included the addition of a master suite and the complete remodel of the kitchen, living and dining rooms. Throughout the process, Audrey was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful. She provided me with two layouts and then, after multiple meetings, merged the ideas I liked the most into a final plan. She guided me through the entire process which included picking out appliances, cabinets, fixtures, and tiles. What made Audrey so special was that she not only listened to my choices but also took the time to thoroughly understand my aesthetic. She has an excellent design sense and made suggestions I would not have otherwise considered. Those choices are among the best features of my remodeled home. I hired a wonderful contractor with whom she regularly works. This made the process enjoyable and fun. I am thrilled with the result and highly recommend her.

I found Audrey on Houzz to do a remodel/addition on my house. I feel lucky to have found her. I couldn't have asked for a more collaborative architect to design with my wants, need and aesthetic in mind along with her vast expertise and great design style. Audrey was helpful throughout all steps of the plans. She made herself available and helpful to me for the zillions of decisions that need to be made in a remodel. She can do it all, the architecture and the design. And she is a lovely person to boot!

She took the time and energy to understand what we wanted and guided us expertly through the process, crafting a beautiful plan that retained the character of our home but brought it into the 21st century. Audrey is a consummate professional, from setting realistic expectations to precise communication to her knowledge of design and building codes. My husband and I worked with Sato Architects on a remodel of our home in Redondo Beach. After meeting with us, she provided two wonderful layout options to consider. Once our choice was made we easily moved through construction documents and permitting with the City. Audrey worked with our structural engineer to create an open concept for our small home which has completely changed the way we live in the space and enjoy our backyard. During construction we consulted with Audrey several times on finishes and cabinets. Our remodel is FANTASTIC and we are ready to start our next project with her, a garage conversation to an ADU. I highly recommend Sato Architects for any residential project.

I met Audrey a few years ago and was very impressed. When we decided to embark on a whole house remodel we brought Audrey in for the project. She offered several ideas on how to use the space and offered real solutions to the needs of a growing family. She listened carefully and made good suggestions for materials. Her design sense is great. Audrey communicated every step of the way during the long design process, her plans were complete and exact. The house project is now finished and it’s beautiful!

We worked with Audrey on two projects, the first a kitchen remodel and the second an addition to the house which included a new entry, a powder room, and small sitting area and an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Audrey closely listened to our ideas and requests, presented us with several options, and created two very beautiful spaces for us. She was professional, on time, creative, willing to make any changes or additions we felt were important, easy to connect with and always available to us during the project. I would highly recommend Audrey to anyone for a project large or small. The addition, in particular, perfectly complements our original house and added the space and light we envisioned.

Audrey took us from a 1909 to 2019 in style. Our project was a complete Craftsman update from the foundation up. Her historical knowledge and contemporary design sensibilities made the project a complete success. City and Coastal Planning is not easy to navigate, but she pulled it off on schedule and within budget. She's a real pro.

Audrey was wonderful to work with. She is professional, accommodating, and flexible. Audrey went above and beyond advising on design, going shopping with me for fixtures, tiles, etc., and always listened and adjusted things based on what I wanted. She took the time to really understand what I like, and therefore was able to communicate with the contractor easily on my behalf. Audrey has a very pleasant and friendly attitude, and you can tell she cares about her clients. I would highly recommend Sato Architects!
