Melissia is fabulous! She has a great eye for design, tons of ideas, and is very intuitive about understanding a client's perspective. She is respectful of budget limitations, responsive to suggestions and opinions and a good communicator. We've used her for jobs big and small, and she treats each one with the same level of interest and intention. It is always a delight to work with her.

Melissia Schulz did a fabulous job helping us remodel our kitchen. One of the biggest challenges with any remodeling project is narrowing down the multitude of options for every aspect of the room, such as cabinetry, tile, counter top material and lighting. Melissia narrowed down this wide range of options to a manageable few in order to make it easier for us to select the final products. She listened carefully to our vision and our cost limits and then found samples of the appropriate materials to address our needs. She also was very helpful in explaining why some of the options we were considering would or would not match other options, such as the tile and counter top material. This was the second major project where we used Melissia’s expertise and the final results for both projects exceeded our expectation. We highly recommend Melissia as an interior designer for any house remodeling project.

The onset of this project was the first time we had the opportunity to work with Melissa. We had just bought a new home and were on a tight timeline to completely redesign and remodel our kitchen and were starting from scratch. At our initial meeting we sat down with Melissa discussed basic ideas and concepts while Melissa provided some samples and ideas to gain an idea of what were looking for. It was clear from the beginning she was focused on what we wanted and were looking for and letting us shape our design. Melissa identified the contractors, pulled together the samples and walked us thought the very difficult task of making a lot of very tough choices in a short period of time. She was great at helping us make smart selections on where to spend our money and where to save. She made herself available to join us as we shopped for colors and materials and was a tremendous help. Her ability to see the big picture and provide guidance was awesome. All that said we were able to stay within budget and couldn't be more happy with the outcome. Looking back we would not change one thing. We love our kitchen and we truly enjoyed working with Melissa.

My husband and I have worked with Schulz Design on several projects ranging from paint color selection to bathroom and kitchen remodels. They were respectful of our wishes and our budget, but was willing to make suggestions to improve the end result We were extremely happy with the outcome of all our projects, and learned the value of hiring a designer. Schulz Design made the stress of “making the right decision” all but disappear.
