Scott is excellent. Up front and realistic about pricing -- he was the only architect I interviewed that would explain "how the money game is played" in residential remodeling and, frankly, it was very much appreciated. For my project, there were three kinds of design insight I wanted and Scott provided all of it. First was the "take my vision" and draw it up, which he happily did. Second, for those areas where I didn't know exactly what I wanted, Scott was very clever, an excellent designer. And third, I didn't ask for it, but Scott had this light touch way of making this tweak over here or over there -- even if out of scope -- that helped create design cohesion with what was _in_ scope. Very very good at his job. Very happy with Scott and the results.

I have worked with Scott on a couple of different projects and have nothing but great things to say about his design and service. Being a builder, I appreciate his approach of design to fit the needs of the specific project while keeping costs in mind. He is humble and is open to all ideas for the betterment of the client/homeowner. He has a genuine motivation to let his clients express their needs and wants and let them drive the design process. Scott did a great job of working with a design to fit our existing foundation. It was a complicated project as our original home was a 1950’s ranch and he transformed it to a coastal chic house! it turned out beautiful. He listened to our request of a coastal style and was a pleasure to work with.

It has been over a year since our remodel was completed, and we still feel the sense of wonder in the home Scott designed for us. We have gotten very comfortable in the livable, light filled spaces, but there is always something fresh to enjoy in the sky and changing seascape we are fortunate to share on the edge of Puget Sound. Scott's care and creativity with my bathroom project far exceeded my expectations. He was able to take my ideas for a bath "retreat" including a soaking tub, and travel experiences to places with rich craft traditions, and somehow bring these influences together into an exquisite design in a very small space. I hired Scott to design a DADU (detached accessory dwelling unit) on my property. The location was very limited, in an environmentally critical area, but full of mature trees. I provided my requirements, Scott did an excellent job of designing a space that worked exceptionally well with the land, fitting seamlessly into the space.
