About Us

We are an award-winning New York City & Princeton NJ based Architecture and Interior Design practice run by principal Liesl Geiger-Kincade. The firm's work reflects Liesl's knowledge and passion for materials, details and proportion in relation to each project. A balance of classic and modern sensibilities enables Studio Geiger Architecture to create spaces that are timeless and exciting. In addition wherever possible the firm likes to think local, sustainable and natural. Liesl earned her Masters of Architecture as well as her Bachelor of Arts from Yale, and afterwards was a Fulbright scholar in Helsinki Finland. Prior to forming her own practice in 2003, she worked with Robert AM Stern Architects. Studio Geiger Architecture recently received an honor from the Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association in California for their work on a renovation of an Arts and Crafts house in the Berkeley Hills. Liesl’s book entitled The Essence of Home: Timeless Elements of Design was published by The Monacelli Press.

She is great at listening and addressing your living needs and preferences, coming up with elegant solutions to address function, as well as awkward areas. Studio Geiger provides tasteful and thoughtful design services as well as project management. Liesl’s design concept sensibilities cover a broad range including North American and European tastes. I would very strongly recommend Liesl to anyone who is looking for an Architectural design services for higher end homes. My project entailed the renovation of a large, pre-war apartment in the mid-town, Carnegie Hall area which is well known for its Landmark buildings. Where can I start? I met Ms. Geiger several years ago on a project we worked on together in the West Village. I was secured to build custom maple cabinetry designed by Liesl. Her design, knowledge, creativity, high-standard, execution, communication skills, professionalism and passion in fine home remodeling was of excellence and encouraged me and my carpenters to achieve the same level of excellence in workmanship with ease.
