My husband and I chose studio J2 to design our new kitchen because we wanted an architect with bold and imaginative thinking who was comfortable “coloring outside the lines.” We’ve seen enough cookie-cutter kitchens and wanted something that was wholly customized and original. J2 adeptly worked around limitations in our space to create a dynamic, organic space that not only looks good, but also feels good to be in. One of the things we especially appreciated was the collaborative process we were able to achieve with J2. Rather than having a completely rigid, uncompromising artistic vision, John and Jennifer were willing to listen to our feedback and incorporate it into their ideas to come up with a design that reflected our personal tastes. We are thrilled with the outcome and would certainly use them again.

We hired studio J2 to do an overall design vision for our house and a detailed design and oversight of an addition. We really enjoyed working with them. They are really creative and have a great design sense. They internalized our aesthetic and then were able to recommend designs that fit our lifestyle, taste, and budget. They effectively helped us envision the final design with 3D modeling and sample boards-- and it turned out exactly how we expected. They’re easy to talk with and work with. They coordinated well with our builder and was always available. We highly recommend their work as a designer and architect and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

We found working with studio J2 to be a completely satisfactory experience. They helped us design and plan internal renovations and a bedroom/bathroom extension to our 1895 historic home in Fairhaven, MA. They produced imaginative and farsighted designing that has completely transformed our house.
