Taeik Kim Architect PA is a boutique architecture and interior firm with a focus on modern simplicity. TKA design is in a continuous workshop spirit with a team of architects and town planners from very different cultural backgrounds. TKA received the AIA (New Jersey) Design AWARD in 2013 and has been chosen as one of 100 Architects of the Year in 2018 by UIA (International Union of Architects). Taeik, a registered Architect, has architectural degrees from Pratt Institute and Yale University, and during the 12 years of his professional career prior to founding TKA (Taeik Kim Architect), he worked in New York City and South Korea for some of the most elite and respected firms in the world, including Kajima, Samsung, and Hazen and Sawyer.

I contacted Taeik for his architectural and interior design services after purchasing a new home last year. I was concerned about renovation costs for our old and relatively large house, but his team offered solutions, helping us throughout the entire process until construction was completed. Though I had to wait several months due to supply chain issues, I was pleasantly surprised when the kitchen arrived. His modern design combines beautifully with the vintage decor of our home. I highly recommend working with TKA.

Taeik Kim and his team are very professional and patient. They take the time to meet with us to review plans and all our requests. I am one of those "difficult" clients for sure, being I studied just enough architecture to get into trouble, but they are always willing to listen and go over design ideas. The team has a strong grasp of town permitting, and what is required for variance hearings. I have toured completed projects by Mr Kim and his team, and saw finished quality that was Dwell Magazine worthy. Our project is ongoing at this time, but we are excited to be working with TKA.

Taeik helped us with all the drawings for renovations we wanted to do on our new house. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the local ordinances and is a talented architect. He was readily available at all times to discuss our project and was very patient with us, you never felt rushed with him and he takes the time to work through every detail. Besides this Taeik is simply a genuinely nice and honest person who wants to help your project succeed. You would be very lucky to work with him and his company. I highly recommend giving him a call you won't be disappointed!

TKA renovated our home in Bergen County, NJ. With a moderate budget, they did extensive work including designing the facade, renovating three bathrooms, and selecting materials for the kitchen, as well as light fixtures, wood floors, doors, and stairs. We had new windows installed, which greatly improved the appearance of our home from the outside and inside. Overall satisfied with results. Would highly recommend their professional service.

I am extremely satisfied with what TKA has done for the project which involved remodeling a 1980 built 6000 sq ft residential house. It took 4 - 5 months. TKA beautifully transformed the old style house to a modern urban glass house. TKA was conscientious with limited budget. He did his best in maximizing aesthetics within the budget. I am highly impressed with the outcome. I am still waiting to sell this house. He was easy to talk to and to learn from about renovation and architecture in general. He was freely available for questions in person or by emails. I plan to continue to work with TKA for other incoming projects.
