In 2012, Randy Hatchard, J.R. Ruthig and Jeff Ziegelbaur formed TR Design Group after two decades of partnering in a nationally recognized residential design firm. Inspired by their award winning experience, they bring passion and lasting client relationships to both their local and national projects. Each Principal brings a unique talent to the group in addition to a continued personal commitment to exceptional quality and service. “The” Residential Design Group is comprised of not only the three founding Principals but also of highly experienced design and construction professionals. Designing the perfect Beach Home on a narrow Lake Huron lot was no challenge for Randy and the staff at TR Design Group. Randy transformed our vision into our dream home. Our building contractor said the design plans were thorough and complete and proceeded without hesitation. Great job Randy, and TR Design Group.

The customer service did not end after prints were created... If we had a question or issue during the build Randy at TR Designs was there, even on site, to solve the problem. Our experience from start to finish with Jeff was nothing but positive. He took all of our wishes for our "forever home" and turned it into a reality. He also infused his expertise to give us features that we hadn't thought of but continue to enjoy in our new home. There are not enough words to express how highly I recommend Jeff Ziegelbaur from TR Design Group. Our custom home builder recommended Jeff and I could not have picked a better architect had I spent years researching and interviewing. Jeff is not only incredibly talented, but he also very quickly figured out my unique preferences and somehow knew exactly what I was going to like even before I did. I am incredibly detail oriented and Jeff could not have been more patient, always taking the time to talk through different options and never making me feel like I was being a burden. I truly believe that there is not a better architect experience to be had than working with Jeff Ziegelbaur.
