Russell has provided Architectual Drawings for 5 of our commercial buildings and multiple tenant build outs. His plans are well drawn, organized, and easy to follow. His knowledge of local building codes and Fire Marshal Requirements is second to none. When questions arise after the project has begun, Russel and his team were readily available to give a quick response!

I cannot say enough about how amazing they did on our house plans! Our lot was a little of an unusual shape, and we knew the house we wanted to build. Russell and his team worked so hard to move a few things around, and play around with the plans, to make our dream house fit on the lot perfectly. They made the process very smooth, and they were so patient with me and all of my changes. I have recommended them to friends and family, and would use them all over again if I needed to! They were absolutely fantastic.

When we moved back to Lafayette and made the decision to buy a lot, our builder recommended Russell and 2-3 other architects in the area for designing a custom built home. We started by checking prices, and Russell was the only one on the list who had a flat rate SF fee and didn’t charge an hourly rate for revisions. This was our first time building a home, and we had no idea what to expect in the process or how many hours would need to be spent on revisions as we went along, so the flat SF fee was comforting for us in knowing approximately what we could expect to spend. Russell was very patient with us during the design process and helped guide us to convert our ideas into a beautifully designed home. The finished product completely exceeded our expectations, and I’m confident will fit our family’s needs perfectly once built. I highly recommend Russel and his team for custom residential architecture.

Russell Trahan listened to what was important to us and created a floor plan that we love. Very personable and professional. He was also very good at educating us regarding the design and building process, and at making suggestions for what would make the house more functional and pretty.

We enjoyed the design process of our new home with Russell very much. We were able to bring in clips and pictures of styles we liked and he did an excellent job taking these in and putting together plans which were perfectly in line with our wishes. During revisions and speaking through certain design elements Russell gave specific functional opinions on how and why he designs things in a certain manner. This was very helpful feedback as we may not have thought of some of these factors on our own. We truly enjoyed the process working with Russell.

I love the way my plan flows... My favorite part of the plan was the X beams in the dining room. I'm so happy I chose him to draw my plan.

Very easy to work with, his skill and experience allowed for additional changes that resulted in increased value and additional comfort for the final home owner. Home will be completed in March of 2019 in the Sabal Palms development, Youngsville/Broussard, Louisiana.
