The upstairs back porch was becoming a leaky messy problem in our 1915 brick house. We hired Tripartite to draw plans to take down the 1950s sloppy kitchen addition, add a bike room in basement, breakfast nook on first floor, and master bedroom suite on 2nd floor. They drew plans that flawlessly connected the old with the new, and the design was prefectly blended to match the mission style of the house, exactly what we wanted. They helped me through the daunting Chicago permit process too at times. At one point, the building inspector was giving me grief over 1 issue, and Kathleen picked up the phone, and set the issue straight right away.

Tripartitie was the architecture firm we hired to renovate our 1920s Chicago bungalow. They worked with us to design a second floor add on and a first floor addition, expanding our house by over 1500 sq ft. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Tripartite, from initial sketches through the build. The drawings that were provided were extremely professional, carefully drawn with seemingly no details forgotten. Both the city permitters and our builders noted the thoroughness of the drawings. Tripartite took the time to get to know us and design spaces that fit our personality and lifestyle; they were also conscious of the history of bungalows in Chicago and our desire to keep the bungalow feeling, but modernize our living space. They were open to changes we asked for, and were helpful in advising us on finishes and products needed for the interiors. They were invaluable in helping us evaluate and hire the contractors to do the construction. Tripartite was also very aware of and committed to to green building practices and standards.

Extremely collaborative. Willing to work with my timeframe and my horrific schedule as I travel throughout the week. I am working with them now, and they have been great. I have a fairly extensive rehab to my 100+ yr-old greystone 2-flat in a North Side neighborhood of Chicago. Will duplex from the first floor into the basement. Will dig out and finish the basement, creating an 8-1/2' ceiling ht (from 7'). Will revamp all HVAC, install central air and re-wire.They've just sent out preliminary bids, so I am anxious to get pricing!
