It was such a pleasure working with both TRUPLANS/TRULOFT and CA LOFT for our high ceiling conversion. We had such a great experience working with the whole team from the moment we reached out to Chris at TRUPLANS/TRULOFT until Aaron and Luis with CA LOFT completed construction. Chris met with us right away to start envisioning how we could turn our high ceilings into useable space. It is amazing to see how close the final build is to the original plans! The team also helped us with submitting the permitting request to the City and following up with City every few weeks. Once the permit was approved, Aaron and Luis with CA LOFT started the project! They were the best contractors we have ever worked with! They took time to talk to us about what they were doing, they arrived early every day to get started and worked so hard! They cleaned up every day and made sure each and every detail of the project was completed with the highest quality. Everyone who has seen the finished product is so amazed with their work and we are so happy with the final product. We would work with them again in a heart beat!! Thank you to the TRUPLANS/TRULOFT and CA LOFT teams!!!

The whole process from start to finish was amazing. TRUPLANS and everyone at TRULOFT was amazing. the Design from Chris and the build from Aaron and Luis was all top notch. Everything went super fast when we started the build and all permits and everything went smooth. I've recommended them to many friends!

The team at TruPlans were always in communication keeping me up to date on the status of the design and the permit process which was very reassuring when doing a home renovation project. I appreciated the upfront discussions on cost estimates as well as their payment structure. TruPlans not just drew what I wanted, they shared their experience on what is actually possible to achieve based on budget and time and were really partners in shaping the final outcome. Chris & the TRUPLANS team were a pleasure to work with for our loft addition game plan. They were clear and concise in their communications and made me feel confident I was in the right hands with the right expertise. Chris went out of his way to do a lot of legwork up front and they had a more than fair payment structure for the design process along the way. In the end my HOA prevented me from being able to execute the project but I am certain it would have turned out great with the TRUPLANS team at the helm.

We were really looking forward to getting this project through the city of Oakland, California. However, HOA had very strict guildelines as to how much could be added.

After talking with various contractors over the years, we finally decided to go ahead with our in-fill loft addition (chopping 2-story ceiling into usable space). Sadly, it became pretty clear that the seemingly simple project was too confusing unless the firm had specifically done it before. We knew we needed a specialist and after some research, all signs pointed towards Chris Doering at TRULOFTS. Unfortunately, our house is in Northern California while TRULOFTS' home area of Southern California provides them plenty of business with the endless sprawl of 2 story tract homes with high ceilings just waiting to be lofted. However, after calling Chris (and receiving a very prompt callback) I learned that while they were unable to travel up north to take on the whole job, I could still hire them and their loft-specialist knowledge via their TRUPLANS division. With just 1 site visit (Chris drove up from LA!) followed by some online 3D collaboration meetings, Chris and team were able to produce great architectural and engineering drawings that were easily and quickly approved by the city. I'm now months into construction and the contractors are having no trouble following TRUPLANS' plans. Chris and team were prompt, courteous, insightful, very knowledgeable and overall a delight to work with. I highly recommend TRUPLANS.

Since I really like the home I presently live in, I decided to build it again in another state that I am moving to. So, I hired Chris to decipher the dimensions of my present house so I can give them to my new builder/engineer. Pleased that I am able to "take my home with me". Chris is on time, courteous and professional.

Newport Interiors

I use TruPlans and love the fact they can pull up plans for older homes and present them in CAD form for my use when I'm drawing up remodels. It's reasonable and will continue to use them in the future. They also are capable of creating plans for you and very easy to work with.
