Architect in the building of house,studio and guest house. Wallace was very professional, cooperative, flexible. Excellent problem solver and timely. Great for resource of trades.

We had an excellent experience working with Wallace Architecture. Converted and expanded a small 2 bedroom log cabin in poor condition (lovely location) into a beautiful contemporary 3 bedroom home, mixed exterior siding, cathedral ceiling, and fabulous island kitchen. Wallace worked with us from the builders bidding thru the finished home. Wallace worked well with the builder while overseeing the quality of the work and approving each phase of the building process. Where the was a problem Wallace clearly looked out for out interests.We are very pleased with the results.

I highly recommend Bill Wallace as an architect and project manager. He is an excellent problem solver - he is very knowledgeable about zoning regulations, engineering, design as well as materials. He is sensitive to budget limitations, and worked within my budget. From the first day I met Bill – I felt we were partners in transforming my country house. He listens, encourages and is totally responsive with excellent follow through. As a second home I could not be on site for much of the project – I totally trusted Bill to make needed decisions and/or to call me with questions. I felt respected as a single woman doing the project, and appreciated all his encouragement along the way. Bill is warm and has a good sense of humor – especially welcome during a somewhat stressful project in which the contractor found unexpected structural issues in the older parts of the house. It was a real pleasure working with Bill – and I will continue to work with him – as I plan building a new studio/shed.

Bill is an outstanding Architect, with deep knowledge of both design and Engineering, but more importantly a very keen ability to understand and address his client's needs. He is very hands on when needed, being present on-site and dealing directly with subs to ensure design integrity and to address and resolve issues quickly. I engaged Bill on a multi-year renovation of a 120-year old farm property with over 6,500 sf of living space on 27 acres. As a result of my experience with him, I would not work with anyone else on any future projects.

Working with Bill is like working with a best friend, he tells you like it is, not necessarily what you want to hear. This is a great trait for an Architect since the goal is to live happily and serenely with what has been done right the first time, not to live with the mistakes that you, as the home owner, thought would be best! He knows all there is to know about foundation work, framing, electrical, mechanical and the all important esthetics of a project. He makes it all look so easy too, he is patient, kind and politely assertive when necessary (and I am so glad I listened to him and did it "his" way on 2 occasions because he was absolutely right!) Building a house can be a onerous, unpleasant task but NOT if you have Bill Wallace working for you. His attention to detail is legion, as is his work ethic. He returns all calls, answers all questions, works within budget, completes all tasks within the agreed upon time frame,and does so always with a smile! He has planned 2 beautiful and comfortable homes for me, a Cape Cod and a Craftsman, both are a testament to his incredible abilities. I only wish I had another home to build... he would be the first person I would call.
