Wentworth Style LLC helped us come up with an overall plan for our entire property and then helped us break it into three realistic design and construction phases. We hired Patty to design a new garage with guest space above (Phase I) and create a design to convert our old garage into art studio/office space (Phase II). She is a joy to work with and brings an expert design sensibility that has helped transform our beloved lakefront property. Patty focuses on the big picture, listens carefully to needs and wants, is attentive to details, and then follows up with great design ideas, color palette suggestions (if desired), materials and resources that fit our budget. Working with Patty is a very collaborative process; she is very grounded and does what she says she's going to do. We've completed the first two phases and are working with Patty on the design for our main living space (Phase III). We highly recommend Wentworth Style!

I am midway through a renovation project that has benefitted tremendously because of Patty's eye for detail, creativity and advice! Although I have renovated many houses in the past and have a great builder for this project, "lifting" a house and adding an additional level underneath was new to me. It was clear after the initial "idea/overview" consultation with Patty that she could provide some of the critical design concepts I was missing since I had not used an architect for the project. As an example, she noticed problems with roof lines and suggested a screened porch (which I've always wanted) to change the look of the house. She caught a problem with how steps landed down into the new first level, and reworked them to open them into a room and create a better sense of space. Since I am doing this long distance and she is in the same town, she frequently follows up with the builder on the site and has established a good working relationship with him. She has saved me a tremendous amount of stress, time and money by helping me discriminate between "wants and needs" and by challenging assumptions I had when I first began work on the project. I can always count on her to share an idea or point of view- she doesn't need to get her way, she just wants to make sure I have considered all of the possibilities, pro's and cons! I could not have done it without her- and I am looking forward to the next several months as we move to completion on the project!

Patty contracted us to design and install closets on one of her projects reviving and old lakeside cottage. Her attention to detail showed throughout the project. Unlike many contractors who believe they know best, Patty had a very thorough understanding of her clients needs and preferences that she brought into the design process. It was a pleasure to work with her and the very successful collaboration resulted in beautiful and functional closet spaces for her client. The project overall was very impressive, integrating old and new design elements to transform a tired old structure into a beautiful new four season home, without sacrificing any of the warmth and charm one expects to find in a lakeside cottage.

My husband and I are starting the planning stages of remodeling our kitchen/family room. Planning this is overwhelming to me - I know that whatever we do has to be perfect because of our limited budget. My biggest concern is sinking thousands of dollars into something that I don't love at completion. So, I consulted with Patty.Although my husband didn't think we needed a consultant (and frankly didn't want to spend the money), it was so worth it. Patty spent over 2 hours with us, giving us suggestions and ideas that we would never had thought of. We were both thrilled with her visit and will be working with Patty over the next year until we finalize the remodel. I know that I will be in love with my refinished kitchen/family room!

With the help of Wentworth Style, I was able to get the house I lived in for 20 years on the market in less than one month. Patty has an amazing ability to visualize how to reorganize a space in order to make it look sharp, fresh and updated. She was able to enhance my personal sense of style by rearranging some furniture, painting an accent wall and adding a few accessories. The transformation was truly amazing and my house sold the first day it was on the market!

I had finally convinced my husband to paint over the knotty pine paneling of our lake house kitchen. Unfortunately, after my husband grievingly painted his beloved knotty pine paneling, I didn’t like the walls painted white and I didn’t know why. I was stuck and my husband was frustrated to say the least.
Patty to the rescue! I knew from the start that I would work well with Patty. She was friendly and down to earth. It was clear that she was very knowledgeable but, she did not take herself too seriously. Patty listened and validated my paint color concern for the kitchen. Before suggesting a color for the kitchen, she took into account the knotty pine paneling, style, and decorating in the rest of the house. As she discussed her recommendations, she was able to give her reasoning for suggesting a certain color or decorating change. It all made sense! I was getting unstuck. I felt a new found sense of decorating direction not only for my kitchen but, also for the rest of the house. Patty was even able to engage my husband in this process. She helped him to see that small decorating changes could make a big impact in our home.
After coming to our house, Patty graciously invited us to her office to see a tile floor, in her mud room, that she had recommended for our kitchen. Her office was an older home that she lovingly renovated. Because her office was a home, we were able to get even more of a sense of her decorator/ design capabilities. Patty’s attention to detail and thoughtful consideration of functional living were evident throughout the house.
I feel like we hit the jackpot with Patty! Not only did we meet a talented decorator/ designer who we will continue to consult with but, we also found someone who can save our marriage from destructive decorating dilemmas

Patty has such an eye for style and design that is both comfortable and sophisticated. When I moved into a new home, she did an amazing job helping me to arrange the space in a way that was practical and beautiful at the same time. Her eye for color is impressive - - she helped me to choose paint colors that actually made the small space seem light and airy, and highlighted the space's strengths, while downplaying its weaknesses. Patty is also fun to work with, because she gets so excited about the possibilities for a home. She helped me to think about my home in a way I'd never have been able to do on my own.

Working with Patty on a room arrangement, as well as reconstruction of living space has been enjoyable and productive. She provided a number of ideas that felt like they fit my lifestyle of comfort and casualty elegant living space. I felt like Patty understood what I was trying to accomplish, while honoring my sense of style. Her concise vision for what she could see would work best in my space has sprung us into action with our remodeling project. I look forward to working with Patty on a few more projects.

I've heard people describe Patty Cooke as the "house whisperer." I echo that description. Patty's visualization acuity has helped us to decide about complete house design, interior decor, staging to sell a home as well as general construction advice. She is meticulous about detail and the overall feeling or story, as she calls it, of the space.
In addition, her personality and sense of humor combined with her talent, make working with her delightful.

Patty Cooke at Wentworth Style provided a design consultation to guide a kitchen renovation. Within seconds after walking in the door, she identified the primary problem and had a solution. She recommended relocating access to our basement from the kitchen area into the closet in our front hall. Her suggestion -- and other suggestions about cabinetry, lighting, windows and appliance placement -- helped us work with a cabinetry company to create the perfect kitchen in our 1770 farmhouse. Our one hour consultation with Wentworth Style was invaluable.
