We could not have been more elated with the work completed by Jack Wettling and his firm. We hired Wettling Architects to complete a gut renovation on the Upper West Side. Their creativity, elegance, professionalism, and attention to minute details made working with them a sheer delight. Not only that, but every professional they led us to also propelled the project to the exact design that they envisioned when the project began. And when there had to be changes due to the unforeseen events, they created a new plan quickly and efficiently. They worked hand in hand with the construction team. They helped us narrow down the myriad of choices to manageable options so we never became overwhelmed. When we began, they helped us create words that defined the feel, the mood, the structure of the project to ensure that there would not be any misdirections. And there were not. We feel continual gratitude, especially to Jack and Jen, for creating this home we love.

We recently completed an extensive renovation of our apartment on Central Park West with the incredible Jack Wettling and his brilliant team of architects. We could not be happier and we cannot say enough about the caliber of their expertise. Wettling architects worked tirelessly to create our dream home. The floor plan was entirely reimagined - moving the kitchen to where the master bedroom had been and combining the original kitchen with the original maid's room to create another bedroom. Wettling was there every step of the way, making sure things ran smoothly and we were adhering to our timeline. Jack is an absolute genius when it comes to understanding and rendering the best use of space. He also made sure the apartment has an amazing and natural flow. He possesses impeccable taste and assisted in the selection of many of the materials and finishes we incorporated into our design. There were countless decisions to be made and moving parts to manage. Jack and Jen (Cimino) moved everything along seamlessly and made it look effortless. The finished product is magnificent. We've been told it's "the best renovation" people have seen in our building. In addition, Jack Wettling is a consummate professional and a lovely person. His warmth and affability make it a pleasure to work with him. We are certain to collaborate with Jack again should we undertake another project. Anyone who is able to work with Jack should really consider themselves fortunate. He's one-of-a-kind and SO talented.

My wife and I hired Wettling Architects in 2014 for a complete renovation of our Gramercy apartment. We were delighted with the outcome. Jack Wettling and Graciela Monroy's design was creative, thoughtful, and practical. The result was a modern apartment that exudes peacefulness, warmth and comfort. Jack and his team were simply marvelous. I had plenty of specific ideas about the project, but most were of the type "I want this to be a 'shoes on' apartment", or "I want the place to look like its always been here" but conversely "none of that Williamsburg taxidermy and Edison light bulb stuff, you know, dont make it from 'old looking new stuff'". Jack was able to take this shambles of a brief and turn something that is truly stunning, cosy, usable and glamorous all at the same time - he's an alchemist, basically. The other gem that I hit him with was an incredibly tight budget, especially as once demolished we found a fiesta of alarming situations to remedy. The space now works perfectly for literally every event and scenario we throw at it - entertaining friends, accommodating our twins, a quiet whisky for Dad, storage for a wife's retail fascination, and pretending I'm grown up while still staying hip. Its everything in one package, and so was the architect.

Jack is a creative genius. He listens well - he is highly concerned about "delighting the customer" and takes as much input as you are apt to deliver and then he creates. The project started as kitchen only but then we made changes in every room and closet. In our apartment - a 2 bedroom, 2 bath place in NYC, he turned "ordinary" into gorgeous. Jack accomplished this goal by selecting materials that were special and different; by creatively changing doorway heights, moving a couple of walls, bringing in color that was stunning. The results are transformational. You are lucky if Jack becomes your architect.

I had the privilege working with Jack on few projects. He is incredibly creative and talented. Working with Jack was a lot of fun, because he and his team truly care about the clients needs. To find this is quite rare. Weekly meetings feel more like coffee break with friends, rather then work meeting. From day one you will get the best possible service from this guy. His staff is on the top of everything, which makes everything super easy. They work hard and keep their deadlines!!!

I hired Wettling Architects to design and oversee a complete renovation of my apartment. At our initial meeting, I gave Jack Wettling an idea of what I was looking for and relayed to him my wish list for the apartment. He took this information and created a design that far exceeded my expectations. Jack and his team were diligent and meticulous throughout the process, from choosing materials and fixtures to selecting a contractor to weekly progress meetings during the actual renovation work. They were eager to hear my comments and highly attentive to my responses, constantly incorporating my feedback into the project so that the end result turned out to be the perfect collaboration between Client and Architect. Working with Jack and his team made what could have been a very stressful undertaking a highly enjoyable and fun experience. One year later and I still appreciate daily many of the innovative and creative design elements that were recommended and implemented.

Mandate: A floor to ceiling renovation of a New York city co-op apartment, including interior design, all furniture and appliances purchases. The request comes from a family of three with several properties in 3 different countries / continents (meaning, we've been through some painful experiences building and renovating properties). Challenges: Woriking within the strict rules of the co-op board; keeping a permanent communication with my wife and I -we are not NYC residents- and correctly translating our expressed desires, born out from living in a large house, to the space of the apt (aprox 1500 sq ft). Outcome: One word: outstanding! Jack and his team took the time and interest to fully understand our needs; presented us with options on design, construction and cost and were always one step ahead of our needs. The advice provided by Jack and his team was always timely and appropiate, never pushy or self serving. Absolute transparency in costs and services rendered / purchases done on our behalf. Jack helped us select what turned out to be the best contractors we have ever worked with. The quality of the work done is beyond our expectations -and we are pretty demanding. The project did take a bit longer than what we had originally expected but it was worth it. I'll do any architectural work with Wettling Architects anytime, anywhere.
