William Guidero Planning and Design

I am a builder who has done multiple homes in Newport Beach. I have used a different architect but was constantly disappointed. I asked other builders and city officials for references. Bill’s name constantly came up. I interviewed him and he took me to multiple job sites. I was very impressed. When it came to the design - wow! What a difference an architect makes. His design was incredible and I couldn’t have been happier. Correspondingly, I am accustomed to making a number of changes out in the field once I can physically see the plans come to fruition. I have never had a project have so few changes because Bill thought of virtually everything and incorporated them seamlessly into his layout and design. And as a builder time is unbelievably important to me. I want to get plans through the city as fast as possible. Bill’s extensive knowledge along with his relationship with city officials is unmatched and he was able to get the plans through incredibly quickly with minimal corrections. I am so happy with her service that I will never go back and continue to use Bill on all future projects. I have attached a picture of his rendering and will repost in several months photos of the actual project when completed.

Bill Guidero is wonderful to work with. He is experienced, capable, draws very detailed plans and is collaborative with design ideas. He also has a great disposition in working with you and your clients, in a no nonsense, no pressure kind of way. We thoroughly enjoyed him in this project!

We hired Bill Guidero to design our custom home after meeting with a variety of architects. From the first time we met him, we found Bill to be warm, personable, knowledgeable, creative, user friendly, and most importantly, someone who was willing to really listen to what we wanted. After visiting some of his projects and speaking with his former clients, we found his work and reputation to be impeccable. Bill was a delight to work with. He designed exactly what we wanted in our dream home and enhanced our vision with a number of helpful and creative suggestions. He also made the process of city and homeowner association approval a smooth one, which is no easy feat! Bill offered a large number of referrals to contractors with whom he had successfully partnered, and it resulted in our finding a perfect contractor match for our project. Despite his part of the job being completed, Bill remained involved throughout the construction, visiting the site to monitor progress and answering any questions that came up along the way. Our new home is gorgeous, and is everything we wanted and more. We couldn’t be more pleased, and we have Bill to thank for making our dream and vision a happy reality. Bill Guidero is the bomb! He listened when needed and provided ideas when we were lacking. He was always available when questions arose and was super helpful in problem solving during the building process. His design on paper looked great and now that we're living in our home we are thrilled with the spaces and the light. On top of all this Bill is fun and a pleasure to work with. I was brought in on one of Bill's new construction projects to do the interior design by his client. I've worked with a number of architects over the years, and Bill by far is one of the easiest-going and professional ones to date. He is pleasant to work with, clearly knows his stuff and most importantly, the clients' were thrilled with his work. Bill has designed several houses that our company has built. We have worked with Bill for years and frequently recommend him to clients. He has a great design sense and makes the construction process much easier.

We hired to Bill Guidero to remodel our one level, 1800 sq. ft home. We added a second story, while keeping the same size footprint (for the most part). We had a very long wish list and Bill was able to fit in almost everything on our list beautifully....while keeping within our tight budget. He was incredibly professional and very personable. He has an amazing design sense and it shows wonderfully through his detailed work. One of the best things about Bill is that, although we initially only wanted to remodel, once demolition was completed our builder discovered that our slab was in such poor shape, we couldn't keep it. Our "remodel" turned into a "new build" overnight. We had so many new issues to deal with, and Bill walked us through everything. His contacts through the city made acquiring the new permits much easier and faster. Those are 2 words you don't hear often when building. :) He has a very hands-on approach with the build, as well. His job doesn't end with just the plans being approved. He walks the site every Saturday which is a huge bonus! We are so pleased with Bill's talent, eye for detail and professionalism. We will highly recommend him to anyone.

As an interior designer who has worked with many architects on client projects, as well as having built several of my own homes, it was especially refreshing to work with Bill on the collaboration of my recent home design and build. Bill is very open to ideas and knows when to hold firm on a detail that he feels is important. He is very "hands-on", which I feel is vital to being successful in this business. His flexibility and overall good-nature is a pleasure to work with too. I look forward to working with him on future projects and also completing a waterfront project with him that we currently have in the works.
