I was interested in an expansion of my master bedroom. I vetted three architects recommended by Houzz. Eric stood out among them. I liked that he was local and was able to view the property. He was a perfect match. After visiting my property and getting to know my design ideas with a Mid- Century Modern aesthetic. Eric along with his assistants drew up wonderful plans, took care of logistics and pushed the permitting right through. He has good knowledge and experience working with the city/county. I highly recommend Wynkoop Architecture. I’m very pleased.

Our older (built in 70's) home in Seaside, CA needed a lot of work- insulation, new kitchen, bathroom remodel etc. Because of the complexity in remodeling homes in an area with so many regulations, we decided to retain an architect to help us. Best decision we ever made! We found Eric on Houzz. We contacted Eric and he came to our house. Rather than telling us "what we should do", he listened carefully to our goals first then helped us come up with a plan to get it done that met our goals and budget. The net result is simply stunning. But we only got this result because Eric brought in and worked closely with the different contractors. We had plasterers, dry wall, carpenters, plumbers, and electricians in. All of them were punctual, did high quality work, and were mindful that my husband and I were down to 1 bathroom, no kitchen, and no dishwasher for over 2 months. I was able to watch Eric brainstorm with his lead contractors on how to get the best possible value from all the work while giving the house a major major upgrade. The new kitchen is fabulous and our 2nd floor deck with all the new windows has a beautiful view of the bay. Eric guided us through all the steps of selecting a wide variety of materials including new appliances, cabinets, and a number of other details. Eric's attention to detail was amazing and he stayed on the contractors to insure every last detail was attended to. We got great results from the speciality contractors (cabinets, deck coating and others). My recommendation to other homeowners, especially with an older house like ours, is to work with Eric. He is trustworthy, does fabulous work, and most of all he listens to women! My husband and I give Eric a 10/10 in every category.

In 2016 I bought a mid-century home on a ¾ acre lot in a wooded area of Monterey, CA. I came across an article on Eric’s family history on the design influence in the Carmel and Monterey Peninsula and knew I wanted their help and expertise for improving my new home. I made an appointment and met Eric on the property; it did not take long to know that I was in great company and good hands. It was refreshing to see the fire and passion in his eyes with regards to (and keeping) the classic attributes to the mid-century architecture on my property; floor to ceiling windows, polished concrete floors and tongue and groove ceilings. It was important to me not to lose the traditional mid-century style and Eric agreed. Since our meeting, Eric has done a fabulous job working with me to design a garage that blends into my property perfectly and has also demonstrated his eye for landscape design as well as the architecture. I feel very fortunate to have Eric on my team!

Beauty in design with functionality and with approval from the city planners and commissioners...that happens when one has a master architect that knows his business. Eric Wynkoop has immense talent and vision to create beautiful living space for his clients while conforming to codes and regulations for the benefit of all. He brought my small cottage to code so that I could live safely and I hired him again to add more living space which will make life more enjoyable. My needs are met with a perfect design combining beauty with function! And the bonus is there is still a garden to enjoy! Eric deserves another five star plus rating for job well done!!
