XAG Designs

We came to Denise with a bare bones idea for our dream house and she turned it into reality! We had no previous experience with home building or design, but when we had the opportunity to build a new house from the ground up, we chose Xag Designs and we are so glad we did! Denise is talented, knowledgable, and has vision. Denise and her team worked patiently with us to design a home that fit our space and our lifestyle. Denise’s commitment to, and passion for, our project has reassured us when we faced challenges. Denise can get things done - we have just broken ground on our build and will be back with photos upon completion!

We used XAG Designs for our full home remodel, addition, and casita. Denise is terrific at working within a designated time frame and getting questions answered quickly. While the project was planned, started, and executed during COVID, Denise went to the building department whenever an issue arose and worked with phone calls and emails when the city offices were closed. Our project was extremely tricky being in a fire zone and landslide area, and Denise really worked with us and the city to get our house as safe as possible - the city was happy we followed all their specific guidelines, and we felt comfortable that by following the engineering, siding and landscape rules we would be as protected as we possibly could. Denise is also a great collaborator. I wanted to help with the design decisions and we worked together to create floor plan layouts, etc. For me, this was especially valuable because she listened and provided ideas we could work from. I would definitely work with Denise again!!

XAG Designs was a lifesaver for us, and we are so grateful for Denise's work. She was instrumental in bringing our vision to life. She always makes herself available, and went above and beyond what our project required of her.

XAG Design's Denise Xagorarakis was the lead architect on our home remodel/2nd story addition. This project added over 800 SF to our home and required structural support and retrofitting (see the photo below of the steel beam being placed into the new 2nd story framing). We also remodeled our kitchen to add a window that ran the full length of the front wall. This required creative working for electrical, plumbing, venting, etc. Denise handled all of this with expertise. We found Denise to be very knowledgeable, professional and detailed. She had great ideas, worked within the rules of our city and HOA (no small task) and was a consummate problem solver. Our HOA, known to be difficult on architectural projects, seemed quite impressed by her presentation of our plans. We sailed through their approval processes, thanks to Denise, and we had no trouble with the city’s permitting department. Denise also made herself available to consult on questions and stepped in on any issues we had. I would gladly use her services again and would recommend her without reservation.

Our 100 year old barn burnt down in June 2019. XAG Designs was recommended to us by another architect. Denise listened to us and understood our desire to make the new structure look just like the old one. She assisted every step of the way. We can't say enough good things about XAG Designs. We know our new barn will last another 100 years!
