For many years I have been exploring visual expression through illustration and painting. I would describe myself as a contemporary instinctual Painter. I have had 2 very successful exhibitions in the last year with work now in many private collections. Revelling in life, nature and worldly mystery, my work reflects my belief that every living thing past or present is always part of our universe. My aim is to create thought provoking work that is beautiful to the eye and compliments your surrounds and lifestyle. I paint on stretched canvas using a combination of polymers, oils, charcoals, pastels and other mixed media. The sizes range from small intimate works that look best clustered in a group to large paintings that are striking stand alone pieces.

As an artist I am constantly experimenting and looking for new ideas, by exploring the versatility of materials, subject matter and style to engage a variety of audiences. I am an artist that loves blending and merging colours‚ from the more detailed fantasy trees series through to my more recent semi abstract free flowing landscapes. While I am not a devotee of traditional landscape, these new works are from an aerial perspective using drone photography and google earth where I can zoom down exploring and capturing light and dark spaces, fractured shapes, airy patterns, juxtaposed with unexpected textural elements, makes my work suggestive and in a unique way drifts between realism and abstraction. I have developed my own style that reinterprets natural landscapes by using a mixture of brushstrokes with the interplay and unpredictability of colourful paints and inks being poured across the canvas. The overriding power of my work is colour and pattern, it can be subtle, bold, restful or sassy. It can evoke a memory, a mood or feeling that can affect a sense of wellbeing or discomfort all combined to depict another version of our planet.
Fleur Stevenson is an abstract artist, whose work is inspired by the patterns, textures and shapes found among the urban surroundings of Sydney’s Inner West. Working with mixed media (acrylic and spray paint) on canvas and board, Fleur’s paintings explore the negative spaces between (permanent and temporary) objects and invite the viewer to discover and navigate through these seemingly empty spaces.

My name is Anna and I am a writer who draws. I grew up in New York and lived there for a long time. For many years I illustrated the books I published and, upon returning to Sydney, helped start Little Branch, a sustainable paper line. My experience has always served extremes; from fashion history to art history, from five star to dime store. I like heart shaped buttons and rococo chairs. I love minimalism but am incapable of it. I could live in a shell-lined grotto, a green Georgian row house or a tepee made of chintz. I believe in floral. This site is my atelier. A place to consider prints, visit the studio, find original works on paper, dig through my back pages in a weekly notebook, and follow a tangly line of ink, pencil, crayon and watercolour. When I finish working, I lay it all out on the floor and sit there with tea, it’s about 2am and all is very still. It is messy and quiet and the paper is still drying. Projects are on the boil. Collaborations beckon. Let me put the kettle on.
Victoria has a unique expressive style in her paintings often depicting the flora and fauna of Australia. She uses realistic elements of nature then adds colour, textures and contrasting collage which involves various techniques; building colour and light with layers and washes and charcoal to give the work a luminous, transparent effect, and in other instances, using thick slabs of colour to build texture and form.

Hi, I'm Yelena Dyumin, both a professional artist and art educator. The creation and refinement of my unique style of art has been something I’ve spent decades perfecting. Although I'm a current resident of Sydney, Australia, I was born and raised in Omsk, Russia. As a result of this mixed culture, my aim has been to blend my eclectic background in European art, experiences, and classics with the fresh Australian colours of both life and nature I've come to find.
