“The Temple was a triumph and AA was very efficient indeed in producing it on time…from getting the drawings in early December 2004, to them making the huge thing with colonnade, it was 16M wide. They made it , assembled it, disassembled it ( numbering each stone) and got it transported to arrive at Chelsea May 1st 2005. An extra 50??? stonemasons were taken on to do this in time. A most impressive job and we won a Silver medal for the big garden in which it sat, Savills Grand Tour garden. The Temple looked gorgeous and we had fun at the show with the AA trade stand there too. Also The new acquisition this year an English Bolection Fire surround in sandstone is a huge success too.”

“I required a fireplace for my living room that was to be a feature and change the rooms perspective. From the initial call and then visit to the shop I could not have been more grateful for the assistance I received. I have very limited knowledge of fireplaces and my wife had some specific requests and nothing was an issue. The fireplace was ordered and arrived within good time and I was constantly updated throughout the process. Excellent customer service.”

“Courtney replaced our existing fireplace completely and the old gas fire with a Morso wood burning stove in SS9, lining the rather narrow chimney. He did a superb job, and fitted in around the other trades etc. during a significant house extension project we undertook, putting up with delays etc. from the builders. He demonstrated his experience as this was the first burner we had installed and advised us throughout the project. He provided us with clear guidance, was punctual, and we are very happy with the end product (he supplied the stove as part of the job), sticking tithe agreed budget despite some minor changes (on our part) during the job. Good value, trustworthy and provided a high quality service, we would recommend Courtney for any fireplace / chimney / stove related work.”

The fitters were extremely professional and took great pride in making sure the fireplace was installed properly. “As part of a major domestic internal building project, we visited several fireplace/ burner galleries. Hertfordshire Fireplace Gallery had a good range of display models and there was no pushy sales attempt. Having explained what we envisaged, the staff provided guidance as to where we would find those burners within the store. Staff were knowledgeable about their products, helpful and able to answer all questions. Unlike some places we had visited, they offered a free site visit to accurately price the supply and installation, after which we ordered our chosen fireplace. During the building works, we decided to make the newly discovered fireplace more of a feature and changed the burner we had ordered. Changing this was done without any fuss. Installation was straight-forward and the company were flexible when installation dates had to be altered. Looking back at my paperwork, we first visited the store in July 2018 and had a site visit shortly after, but actually placed the order in June 2019 before installation in October 2019. (This was no fault of the store, but simply issues around the building work.) Through-out the process, there was excellent communication from Neil and his staff. In conclusion, we are delighted with the final product and the involvement of the Gallery has been a major factor in this. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them and (if my wife gets her way on another fireplace), will be certainly using them again.”

“Engaged to install a previously-purchased stove, the work included opening up the fire place, cleaning brick-work in the opening, replacing the flue liner in the chimney and installing a new pot, installing the stove, laying a granite hearth, plaster-work to make good. All of this was completed in two days (except plastering) to a very high standard of work and we're very happy with the results. Highly recommended as a thoroughly professional company.”
