Beechville, NS Carpentry Professionals
When I was sixteen my best friend was in his mid twenties. He was in the process of constructing a new home. after growing up on a small horse ranch outside Saint John NB, I was no stranger to hard work (or woodwork) but I managed to learn a lot about construction while we worked to create his home. when waiting for plans to be approved or materials to arrive, we spent our time clearing the property and making four by fours with a chainsaw, in order to construct the toughest shed-structure we could think of, complete with a weather vane and cow skull. That year I was paid in a lot of valuable knowledge and sense of accomplishment. Fast forward a few years and I was living as a full time artist. writing music, writing poetry and curating shows. I only had time for side jobs at restaurants and cafes. whenever a carpenter or architect would come in I would light up and talk shop: new building ideas, projects or woodworking techniques. Meanwhile, throughout this entire time, I was constructing custom furniture, pantries, tables and cabinets in my basement (my poor neighbors). after getting to know some of my regulars, soon enough, I was being hired to build their projects. after lying awake many nights, worried that the integrity of my builds was not sufficient, I knew it was time for a mentor and to enroll in carpentry studies. When mentioning my permanent career path to my father he would say: "well its in your blood, I do it, your grandfather is a carpenter and his dad was a carpenter, not to mentions your mothers dad was a carpenters and so was his dad." This just further solidified my choice to make it my full-time gig. After fifteen years of construction, renovation, creativity and carpentry. I have branched out and started operating my own company and building outfit where I continue to work with a solid network of extraordinary builders and craftspeople. While also restoring faith and trust in contractors and tradespeople in NS, our main goal is to provide clients with the best possible work at the lowest possible cost. We believe this is possible without sacrificing quality. Thank you for reading!
